MEXC P2P Trading FAQ

1. What is MEXC P2P?

MEXC P2P is a platform that allows users to directly trade Digital Assets with other users. You may trade on MEXC P2P to buy or sell Digital Assets as an Advertiser or a Taker. Please keep in mind that MEXC only acts as an intermediate marketplace for Advertiser and Taker, and does not act as Advertiser or Taker to perform any P2P transactions.


2. Is MEXC P2P secure?

Once a P2P order has been placed, MEXC locks the amount of Digital Assets indicated in the P2P order until both parties of the transaction confirm successful completion of the Fiat Currency transfer to be performed in consideration of the Digital Assets. The locked amount of Digital Assets cannot be used in any way whatsoever unless the P2P order is cancelled or the Digital Assets are released to the Buyer upon confirmation of the Fiat Currency transfer by both the Buyer and the Seller.

3. Who should I contact if I encounter a problem regarding my P2P order?

If you encounter any issues with your P2P order (E.g. P2P Merchant has delayed releasing the digital token to you after you successfully made a payment for the P2P order), you have few ways to follow up with:

4. Which cryptos can I trade on the MEXC P2P?

Cryptos [USDT] [USDC] [BTC] [ETH] are well supported at the current stage.

5. What Fiat currencies does the MEXC P2P support?

Currently, MEXC P2P supports only 3 types of Fiat Currencies: VND, RUB and KRW. Other Fiat Currencies are suspended effective February 18, 2023. You may read the announcement https://www.mexc.com/support/articles/15645832001433 for detailed information.

6. How much are transaction fees on the MEXC P2P?

Currently, MEXC P2P offers zero transaction fees for both buyer and seller. However, the respective payment service provider may charge a fee for the payment method selected by the parties for the Fiat Currency transfer to be made in consideration of the Digital Assets. Therefore, the Fiat Currency to be transferred by the Buyer as consideration of the traded Digital Assets will be deemed to be inclusive of any Transaction Fees. It is the Seller's responsibility to make respective deductions on transaction fees, and the Buyer is only obliged to effect payment in the amount as specified in the Advertisement.

7. Why am I ineligible to buy or sell crypto via MEXC P2P?

This is because you did not fully meet the requirement set by the advertiser. You can click on the [Limited] button to check on the missing criteria.

8. What payment methods are supported for MEXC P2P trade?

9. Do I need to complete KYC before I can start using MEXC P2P?

Yes, Primary KYC is required to be completed. Keep in mind that only Individual KYC is accepted, while Institutional KYC is not permitted. For the complete guide, please check out the tutorial via How To Complete KYC?

10. I am from AAA country. Can I conduct P2P Trading with BBB country's MEXC P2P Merchant?

No. You can only trade with the P2P Merchant where you are residing, or originating therefrom according to your KYCed region. However, if P2P Trading is not supported in your KYCed region, buying Crypto via Third-party Channel is the alternative way.

11. What’s the minimum amount in Fiat/crypto to trade per P2P order?

Please refer to Quick Buy/Sell for more details. However, the minimum quote for P2P order on Express trading page is just for reference. The actual tradable amount in Fiat/crypto depends on the range limit set by the P2P Merchant on the active Ad.

12. How will I be notified on the latest progress of the P2P orders?

You will be able to receive P2P orders' notification by either SMS or Email, whichever is enabled. To set up accordingly, please redirect to https://otc.mexc.com/payment

13. Can I use others' bank accounts or payment accounts to make payments in P2P Trading?

No. You can only pay with bank accounts or payment accounts in your name that is identical to the name appearing on your MEXC Account. Otherwise, your P2P trades might be suspended.

14. What if the MEXC P2P website or App is accidentally or unexpectedly closed while an active P2P trade is in progress? How can I restore and continue the trade?

You may view the entire historical P2P Trading transactions via https://otc.mexc.com/orderProcessing/fiatOrderList To continue the P2P trades, use the filters to choose the required criteria. Then click on the order ID, and you should be able to communicate with the P2P Merchant.

15. How do I change my nickname?

16. How can I become a MEXC P2P Merchant?
