Learn oil CFD trading with USDT on MEXC. Choose USOIL or UKOIL, calculate barrel exposure, and distinguish a price-rise forecast from a Brent–WTI view.

Oil CFD trading with USDT on MEXC gives eligible users access to USOIL for WTI crude and UKOIL for Brent crude. Choosing the instrument also means identifying which oil price your analysis measures and whether you expect an outright rise or a change relative to another benchmark.

Brent can outperform WTI while a Brent long loses money. The examples below show why, and how lot quantity changes the dollar result. All trade prices and outcomes are hypothetical, not live quotes or recommendations.

Choose the Benchmark and Identify the Price Series

The MEXC product pages reviewed on November 6, 2026 identify USOIL as WTI Crude Oil Cash and UKOIL as Brent Crude Oil Cash.

These CFDs provide oil-price exposure without physical delivery. Check whether your analysis uses a physical spot assessment, a particular futures delivery month, or the CFD’s own price.

In an April 24, 2026 analysis, the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that Dated Brent spot prices had exceeded front-month Brent futures by more than $25 per barrel in early April. That historical difference was between two Brent series; it was not a MEXC CFD bid–ask spread.

A target for a particular Brent futures month cannot automatically be copied to UKOIL. The “Cash” label alone does not establish an exact match with Dated Brent or a particular futures contract.

Record the external chart’s benchmark, price series and observation time. Use the actual CFD’s executable prices to assess the trade and calculate its result.

What 0.10 Lot Means in Oil CFD Trading

The published MEXC specifications reviewed for USOIL and UKOIL both showed a contract size of 1,000 and a minimum quantity and quantity step of 0.01 lot.

For these oil contracts:

Barrels represented = lots × 1,000

A 0.01-lot position represents 10 barrels. A 0.10-lot position represents 100 barrels.

For a long position:

Price-based P&L = (exit sell price − entry buy price) × barrels

At 0.10 lot, a $1-per-barrel rise produces $100 of price-based profit on a long; a $1 fall produces a $100 loss, before separate charges.

Equal Lots Match Barrels, Not Dollar Notional

Assume a WTI entry price of $80 and a Brent entry price of $84, each at 0.10 lot.

The WTI opening notional is:

$80 × 100 barrels = $8,000

The Brent opening notional is:

$84 × 100 barrels = $8,400

Both positions have the same sensitivity to an absolute $1-per-barrel move. For a 1% rise from the assumed entries, the price-based gains would be $80 for WTI and $84 for Brent.

Specify whether you are comparing dollars per barrel or percentage returns. Equal lots match barrel quantities, not opening notionals.

Brent Can Outperform WTI While a Brent Long Loses

Consider a separate hypothetical scenario:

  • Brent falls from $84 to $82.
  • WTI falls from $80 to $76.

Brent declines by $2 while WTI declines by $4. The Brent-minus-WTI price difference widens:

At entry: $84 − $80 = $4 per barrel

At exit: $82 − $76 = $6 per barrel

The view that Brent would outperform WTI is consistent with that move. But an outright 0.10-lot Brent long, assuming buy and sell fills at the stated Brent prices, loses:

($82 − $84) × 100 = −$200

A 0.10-lot WTI long with fills at the stated WTI prices loses $400. Holding both long positions would therefore produce a combined price-based loss of $600.

Write the intended view precisely: “WTI will rise,” “Brent will fall,” or “the Brent-minus-WTI difference will widen.” An outright Brent long does not isolate the last view.

This benchmark difference is also separate from either CFD’s execution bid–ask spread.

Turn the Oil View Into a MEXC CFD Order

Where available to your account and region, MEXC CFD provides the account setup and transfer route. After activation, USDT transferred from Spot converts 1:1 into USDx for CFD margin and settlement. Transfers back to Spot convert USDx to USDT at the same ratio.

For an illustrative USOIL long, a trade plan might specify:

  • Product: USOIL within CFD.
  • Expected buy fill: 80.000.
  • Quantity: 0.10 lot, representing 100 barrels.
  • Intended stop exit: 79.400.

The planned price-based loss at that assumed stop fill is:

(80.000 − 79.400) × 100 = $60

Allow for charges and execution differences; a stop does not guarantee that fill. Check margin and account capacity separately, using CFD Margin and Leverage Explained: Formulas & Examples.

After execution, recalculate from the actual fill. Use the existing position’s closing function to exit; MEXC supports independent long and short positions, so a new opposite order can leave both open.

Match the Holding Period to the Contract Rules

The reviewed oil specifications listed Friday as the three-day swap day. Check the current directional rate and settlement rules before holding through that cutoff.

Use CFD Trading Costs Explained: Spreads, Fees and Swaps to separate price-based P&L from charges. Check the chosen instrument’s executable session and timezone, with CFD Trading Hours: Forex, Gold, Oil and Indices explaining the schedule fields.

Risk Warning

Oil CFDs can gap or reprice sharply around supply disruptions and market reopening. Stops may fill at worse prices, while insufficient margin can trigger forced closure. A correct view on the relative performance of WTI and Brent does not ensure a profitable directional trade. The examples exclude actual account-specific charges and are provided for education.
