JasmyCoin (JASMY) is an ERC-20 utility token on the Ethereum blockchain designed to power the Jasmy IoT platform. Issuance Mechanism

JasmyCoin has a fixed maximum supply of 50,000,000,000 (50 billion) tokens. As of early 2024, reports indicated that approximately 99% of the supply has been distributed, with a significant portion held by users on various global exchanges.

Earlier versions of the allocation plan included categories such as "Business Financing" (approx. 20-22%), "Listing Expenses" (approx. 8%), and "Airdrops" (approx. 10-12%), though these appear to have been consolidated or superseded in later documentation.

Usage and Incentive Mechanism

The Jasmy ecosystem is designed around the concept of Personal Data Lockers (PDLs). The intended utility of the JASMY token includes:

• Service Fees: Paying for the use of the Jasmy platform and its associated IoT services.
• Data Access: Merchants and third-party enterprises must pay JASMY to purchase access to data stored within a user's PDL.
• User Rewards: Individuals receive JASMY as an incentive for selectively sharing their data with specific merchants.
• Medium of Exchange: Used to purchase products or services from Jasmy's partner organizations.

Current Status Note: As of early 2024, the project team stated that the full ecosystem is not yet fully operational. Consequently, the primary current utility of JasmyCoin is for payment purposes, investment, and trading on exchanges.

Locking Mechanism and Unlocking Time

The project implemented specific locking and distribution schedules to manage the release of tokens into the circulating supply:

• Contributors and Community: This 20% allocation was reported as fully unlocked as of late 2021.
• Funds and Institutional Investors: This 27% allocation was subject to a gradual distribution schedule that took place throughout 2022 and 2023. Data indicates these tokens were released on a daily granularity over a 730-day period starting in October 2021.
• Ecosystem: The 48% allocation is designated to be distributed "as the business grows." While a large portion (24 billion) was technically initialized in October 2021, its release is tied to the expansion of the platform's operations.
• Incentives: This 5% allocation was designed to be unlocked two years after the achievement of specific conditions or milestones. Current data suggests an unlock date of October 1, 2023, for this portion of the supply.

Staking and Future Developments

In October 2021, Jasmy announced plans for a staking mechanism, specifically involving a BEP-20 version of the token on the BNB Smart Chain. Additionally, the project is developing Jasmy Chain, a Layer-2 rollup on Ethereum using the Optimism OP Stack, which may introduce further utility or incentive structures for the token in the future.
