ISO 20022 is something we’ve covered on CaptainAltcoin before. The standard is slowly becoming one of the most important developments in global finance, and a handful of cryptocurrencies made the cut.

But one XLM community member just dropped an interesting take on why XRP and seven other projects landed on this exclusive list, and what it really means for their future.

What Is ISO 20022 Again?

Quick refresher. ISO 20022 is an international framework developed by the International Organization for Standardization. It unifies how banks exchange electronic payment information. Instead of multiple messaging formats, it creates a single language based on XML. That makes financial data easier to process, read, and automate.

SWIFT, the global network banks use for international payments, is the registration authority maintaining the standard.

The goal? Faster transactions, lower costs, better compliance, and improved fraud prevention.

The 8 Cryptocurrencies on the List

Several blockchain projects are already considered compatible with ISO 20022:

🔹 XRP (Ripple)
🔹 XLM (Stellar)
🔹 XDC (XDC Network)
🔹 ALGO (Algorand)
🔹 MIOTA (IOTA)
🔹 HBAR (Hedera)
🔹 QNT (Quant)
🔹 ADA (Cardano)

Notably, XRP and XLM are also members involved in discussions related to the ISO 20022 standardization process itself.

The Hidden Reason, According to Stellar XLM Holder

X account “Stellar XLM Holder,” a member of the XLM community, recently shared his take on why these eight projects made the cut. His perspective adds a layer most casual observers miss.

According to his thread, these projects weren’t randomly selected or simply “compatible” in a technical sense. They’re positioned to actually use this standard in live banking integrations.

XRP, for example, isn’t just ISO-ready. Ripple’s entire business model is replacing the very infrastructure ISO 20022 aims to modernize. RippleNet already lets banks complete transactions in seconds using the Ripple Protocol Consensus Algorithm. XRP acts as a bridge currency between different fiat currencies.

Stellar does something similar but with a focus on underserved regions and unbanked populations. Its Stellar Consensus Protocol confirms transactions quickly through trusted nodes, with XLM acting as the bridge asset.

Both projects were involved in ISO discussions. That’s not an accident.

The payment focus matters.

Stellar XLM Holder points out that most of these eight projects focus specifically on payments and settlement. Cardano does smart contracts. Hedera does enterprise apps. IOTA does IoT. But look closer; every single one has a strong payments or value transfer use case.

Algorand handles financial services and DeFi. XDC focuses on trade finance. Quant connects blockchains to traditional systems through Overledger.

They’re all building bridges between old finance and new finance. ISO 20022 is the language those bridges will speak.

Survival of the fittest.

His final point: Being on this list doesn’t guarantee success. But not being on it? That’s a problem.

When banks and central banks start building ISO-compliant systems, they’ll look for partners who speak their language. Projects on this list get a seat at the table. Everyone else has to figure out integration later.

Why Is This Important for XRP and the Rest

Compliance with ISO 20022 gives these eight projects something most cryptos don’t have: a potential on-ramp into institutional finance.

Financial institutions rely on ISO standards for smooth communication between networks. If they’re already using ISO-compliant messaging, working with an ISO-compliant blockchain becomes much easier.

Some of these projects could even integrate with central bank payment systems or digital currencies down the road.

Transactions become faster, cheaper, and more transparent. Structured messaging formats reduce errors and improve traceability.

XRP, XLM, and the others on this list are building the on-ramps between crypto and traditional banking. ISO 20022 is the standard those on-ramps will use.

But being on this exclusive list? That’s a head start.

One Of Frank Sinatra’s Most Famous Albums Is Back In The Spotlight

The post One Of Frank Sinatra’s Most Famous Albums Is Back In The Spotlight appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew returns to the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts, showing continued demand for his timeless music. Frank Sinatra performs on his TV special Frank Sinatra: A Man and his Music Bettmann Archive These days on the Billboard charts, Frank Sinatra’s music can always be found on the jazz-specific rankings. While the art he created when he was still working was pop at the time, and later classified as traditional pop, there is no such list for the latter format in America, and so his throwback projects and cuts appear on jazz lists instead. It’s on those charts where Sinatra rebounds this week, and one of his popular projects returns not to one, but two tallies at the same time, helping him increase the total amount of real estate he owns at the moment. Frank Sinatra’s The World We Knew Returns Sinatra’s The World We Knew is a top performer again, if only on the jazz lists. That set rebounds to No. 15 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart and comes in at No. 20 on the all-encompassing Jazz Albums ranking after not appearing on either roster just last frame. The World We Knew’s All-Time Highs The World We Knew returns close to its all-time peak on both of those rosters. Sinatra’s classic has peaked at No. 11 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, just missing out on becoming another top 10 for the crooner. The set climbed all the way to No. 15 on the Jazz Albums tally and has now spent just under two months on the rosters. Frank Sinatra’s Album With Classic Hits Sinatra released The World We Knew in the summer of 1967. The title track, which on the album is actually known as “The World We Knew (Over and…
