TRUMP, the official Solana-based meme coin tied to Donald Trump, surged more than 30.8% after news emerged that top token holders could receive invitations to an exclusive event with the president late next month.
In a Thursday post on X, the TrumpMeme account promoted what it described as ‘the most exclusive crypto and business conference in the world,’ set to take place on April 25 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.
“Join 18 global giants at one of the world’s most historic residences… the exclusive members-only club, Mar-a-Lago,” the announcement said. “You’ll enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This event will be a memory you will talk about forever!”
According to the event’s website, invitations will be extended to the top 297 holders of the TRUMP token, determined by a leaderboard measuring participants’ time-weighted average holdings on Robinhood between March 12 and April 10.
The memecoin’s website lists Donald Trump as the keynote speaker for the event, but clarifies that there will be no private meetings with the president.
In addition to the luncheon, the top 29 token holders will also receive invitations to an exclusive VIP reception, including a champagne toast with Trump and other special guests who have yet to be announced.
TRUMP Meme Coin Rockets Following Exclusive Gala Announcement
The $TRUMP meme coin sank to $2.73 earlier this week — its lowest since launching in January 2025 — as President Trump’s approval ratings fell amid escalating tensions with Iran.
However, the token spiked when the announcement of the exclusive Mar-a-Lago gala came out, hitting a high of $3.73, according to CoinGecko. TRUMP is still 94.9% off the $73.43 all-time high achieved in January 2025, just before Trump started his second term in office.
This marks the second gathering for holders of the TRUMP token. The first took place in May at the Trump National Golf Club and drew criticism from Democratic lawmakers who accused Donald Trump of leveraging his position as president for personal financial benefit.
At last year’s inaugural event for TRUMP token holders, Tron founder Justin Sun was the largest attendee by holdings, reportedly earning a watch during a ceremonial presentation.
