RD Technologies Participates as Co-organizer at Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026

The Hong Kong Web3 Festival is co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group and organized by W3ME. Since its inaugural edition in 2023, it has grown into the definitive crypto and Web3 conference in Asia, convening the world’s brightest minds to engage in substantive dialogue about the latest trends, regulatory developments, and technological breakthroughs shaping the global digital economy.

The 2026 edition will take place from April 20 to 23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Building on the extraordinary momentum of its first three editions — which collectively drew over 350 exhibitors, more than 1,200 speakers, upwards of 100,000 visitors, and over 400 diverse side events — Web3 Festival 2026 is set to be the most ambitious and impactful installment yet.

This year’s conference will feature up to 400 speakers representing every dimension of the Web3 and crypto landscape, from blockchain infrastructure and decentralized finance to tokenization, digital assets regulation, and the convergence of artificial intelligence with Web3 technologies. The program is carefully curated to spark meaningful conversations and drive actionable insights across both emerging and established sectors of the industry, ensuring every attendee leaves with fresh perspectives and tangible takeaways.

One of the defining features of Web3 Festival 2026 is its exceptional draw among senior business leaders. The event has already attracted registrations from nearly 1,000 executives and corporate decision-makers from traditional finance and real economy sectors. This positions the festival as a uniquely high-level platform for in-depth dialogue and high-value connections, creating rare opportunities for collaboration between the worlds of conventional finance and next-generation digital infrastructure. For organizations looking to forge strategic alliances and explore new frontiers in the digital economy, this conference represents an unmissable opportunity.

As Asia’s foremost crypto event, Web3 Festival continues to leverage Hong Kong’s unparalleled strategic position as a global financial center and innovation powerhouse. The city’s ability to bridge Mainland China’s vast market potential with worldwide Web3 advancements gives the festival a competitive edge found nowhere else in the world. Attendees gain first-hand access to the latest Web3 developments, groundbreaking announcements, and a global network of industry pioneers.

With RD Technologies joining as Co-organizer, Web3 Festival 2026 strengthens its roster of world-class partners and reinforces its standing as the go-to destination for anyone serious about the future of Web3.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
