VANCOUVER, BC, Feb. 17, 2026 /CNW/ – Unifor will hold a media conference on February 17 to provide updates on the B.C. Labour Relations Board ruling that Amazon violated the Labour Relations Code, and the union’s application for a board appointed mediator.

Unifor is applying for mediation on behalf of approximately 800 Amazon warehouse workers at the company’s Delta, B.C. warehouse facility, citing stalled bargaining, ongoing labour law violations, and the urgent need to secure a fair first contract more than seven months after certification.

“Amazon’s continued delays have left workers without the protections they fought for,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne. “Mediation is required to ensure workers are not penalized by stalling tactics and can move forward toward a fair agreement.”

The mediation application follows a labour board ruling that found Amazon unlawfully imposed a wage freeze on workers at the newly organized Delta facility. Hearings continue into additional Labour Code violation allegations, including employer interference.

Media interested in attending are asked to RSVP to ian.boyko@unifor.org
