MANILA, Philippines – From an alarming literacy crisis to the perennial classroom shortage, where do we even begin?
If you’re a student, parent, teacher, principal, education advocate, or simply someone with questions, suggestions, or even complaints about the Philippines’ education system, let’s raise them directly to the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM 2).
Rappler’s news operations head Acor Arceo is sitting down with EDCOM 2 Executive Director Karol Mark Yee for an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session at 5 pm on Wednesday, February 11, and we’re inviting everyone to join us.
To join the AMA:
- Download the Rappler app for iOS or Android, and create a free account. The web version is also available here.
- Tap the app’s Community tab and join the Education chat room.
- Enter the Education chat room at 5 pm on Wednesday, and send your questions or thoughts there. A moderator will be steering the chat to guide everyone.

If the probability of an earnings beat is rising, for example, investors would know at a glance that things are going well. But that will only happen if enough of the people betting actually know how things are going.
