SIX STARS, Todd Wiseman Jr.’s action-driven short film starring Milo Machado-Graner, releases worldwide January 27 on Short Frame

After world premiering as HollyShorts’ Opening Night film in competition at the TCL Chinese Theatre, the Florida-set thriller launches globally on Short Frame, the YouTube destination curating award-winning short films.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SIX STARS, the short film written, directed, and produced by Todd Wiseman Jr., will be released worldwide on January 27, 2026 via Short Frame on YouTube.

The film stars Milo Machado-Graner (Anatomy of a Fall) as Mathieu, a French teenager on an “American rampage” in Florida. Shot against the backdrop of Tampa, Wiseman Jr.’s hometown, SIX STARS confronts the glorification and entertainment value placed on violence through a bold, action-forward auteur lens.

With gamers debating the return of a six-star wanted-level fantasy in today’s GTA discourse, the film explores the question that’s trending beyond the console:

“What if GTA was in real life ?”

SIX STARS world premiered on August 7, 2025 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles as the Opening Night selection of the HollyShorts Festival, where it screened in competition.
