Hong Kong – January 26, 2026 – HashKey's ecosystem token, HSK, officially launched on Kraken, a long-established global cryptocurrency exchange, at 13:00 (UTC) on January 26th, simultaneously listing the HSK/USD and HSK/EUR spot trading pairs. This launch further integrates HSK into the global mainstream fiat currency liquidity system denominated in USD and EUR, building upon its existing listings on multiple major cryptocurrency exchanges. This provides global users, especially traders in compliant markets in Europe and the US, with a more direct and transparent trading channel, and promotes the continuous optimization of HSK's global liquidity structure.

Previously, HashKey had reached a strategic partnership with Kraken. The two parties will collaborate on ecosystem building, product synergy, and market expansion to jointly promote the integration of traditional finance and digital assets and accelerate the implementation and popularization of institutional-grade asset tokenization in the Asia-Pacific region. The listing of HSK on Kraken is a further step in the cooperation between the two parties.

HSK is the ecosystem token of HashKey, widely used in multiple core scenarios within the HashKey ecosystem, including transaction fee discounts, exclusive token priority purchase rights, and node verification. HSK is also the native token and Gas Token of HashKey Chain, supporting the long-term development of the ecosystem. Currently, HSK is listed and traded on several centralized exchanges, including HashKey Global, HTX, KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC, and BingX.

Kraken is one of the world's oldest and most secure cryptocurrency trading platforms, renowned for its security and compliance. It has long been considered a crucial gateway for institutional investors and professional traders in Europe and the US to enter the cryptocurrency market. Kraken's listing of HSK demonstrates its recognition of HSK's technological stability, transparency, and market foundation. This allows HSK to build a global network covering compliant users in Asia, Europe, and North America, and the increasing number of international users will continue to enrich HSK's global community ecosystem.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
