Tonik Appoints Former TNEX CEO, Bryan Carroll to Senior Role

Tonik has appointed Bryan Carroll as its new Business Head for Payments, Savings, and Engagement.

The move signals the bank’s intent to accelerate growth and deepen customer relationships as it enters a new phase of expansion.

Carroll joins Tonik with extensive experience in the digital banking sector, having previously served as the CEO and Co-Founder of TNEX, Vietnam’s digital-only bank.

His background includes leadership roles at major financial institutions such as First Abu Dhabi Bank, Bank of Ireland, and MSB Bank Vietnam.

As a seasoned builder of digital banks, Carroll will now lead efforts to drive Tonik’s growth beyond 2x per annum, improve unit economics, and reduce credit risk.

Tonik’s leadership described the appointment as coming at a real inflection point for the company.

The bank aims to move beyond adding surface-level features and focus on scaling its operations.

Carroll’s mandate involves leveraging deeper customer engagement not just as a product strategy, but as a core component of risk management and sustainable growth.

Having established its fundamental operations, Tonik is now looking to compound its success.

The neobank, which has gained significant traction in the Philippines since its launch, views Carroll’s expertise in digital transformation and data-driven banking as vital for its next stage of development.
