Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest made portfolio changes on October 24, 2025, selling U.S. tech stocks while purchasing Chinese tech companies and biotech names. The trades were disclosed in ARK’s daily transaction report.

The ARK Innovation ETF sold 23,717 shares of Advanced Micro Devices valued at $5.57 million. This marked the largest single sale of the day. AMD stock has risen this year on investor expectations around artificial intelligence chip demand.

ARK also sold 39,077 shares of Shopify worth $6.53 million. The firm trimmed positions in other tech names including 107,510 shares of Iridium Communications for $1.96 million. These sales follow a pattern of reducing exposure to e-commerce and satellite communication stocks.

The fund sold 32,384 shares of Palantir Technologies and 26,089 shares of Roblox. Combined, these sales totaled over $9 million. Both companies have seen stock price increases in 2025 as investors showed interest in AI platforms and gaming stocks.

ARK Genomic Revolution ETF sold 19,391 shares of Tempus AI worth $1.69 million. This continues a selling trend in the stock that began in earlier trading sessions.

Baidu Purchases Lead Buying Activity

The largest purchase on October 24 was Baidu stock. ARK bought 51,323 shares of the Chinese internet company across three funds. The total value reached $6.18 million.

The Baidu shares were purchased through the ARK Innovation ETF, ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF, and ARK Next Generation Internet ETF. This buying extended ARK’s recent pattern of adding to its Baidu position. Baidu has been expanding its work in AI technology and self-driving vehicles.

One day earlier, on October 23, ARK purchased 68,939 shares of Alibaba worth $11.4 million. The firm bought Alibaba stock across its ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF funds. ARK also bought 54,194 shares of Baidu on October 23 valued at $6.34 million.

Biotech Investments Continue

ARK Genomic Revolution ETF bought 10,818 shares of Arcturus Therapeutics for $130,000 on October 24. The fund has been steadily purchasing this biotech stock. On October 23, ARK bought 297,766 shares of Arcturus worth $3.44 million.

The ARK Innovation ETF purchased 1.35 million shares of Pacific Biosciences valued at $2.64 million. The company develops gene sequencing technology. ARK also bought this stock on October 23, purchasing 1,035,568 shares for $1.91 million.

ARK bought 162,279 shares of 10x Genomics across two funds for $2.17 million on October 24. The previous day, ARK purchased 147,800 shares of 10x Genomics worth $1.81 million. The purchases show continued investment in genomics companies.

Other sales on October 23 included 70,276 shares of Adaptive Biotechnologies for $1.16 million and 18,704 shares of Kratos Defense for $1.58 million. ARK sold 19,404 shares of Iridium Communications, 57,568 shares of Personalis, and 22,759 shares of SoFi Technologies. The fund also sold 8,905 shares of Roblox, 11,856 shares of Roku, and 10,829 shares of Shopify on October 23.
