New York’s biggest pop culture convention is back for another year of comics, anime, manga, video games, film, TV and more.
New York Comic Con (NYCC) returns to the Javits Center on Thursday, featuring a packed lineup that includes first looks at series like HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones spinoff and retrospective panels for iconic films like The Matrix.
Here’s a roundup of some of the most noteworthy film and TV panels that will be taking place over the course of the four-day convention.
Thursday, October 9
HBO/HBO Max Presents A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – Journey Into Westeros With Dunk And Egg
When: 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. EST
Until House of the Dragon returns for season three, HBO has you covered with a sneak peek at another Westeros-set Game of Thrones spinoff: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The show, which is adapted from George R. R. Martin’s novella The Hedge Knight, takes place a century before the events of Game of Thrones. It centers on a young knight named Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his diminutive squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell).
The panel will feature Martin, showrunner Ira Parker and stars Claffey and Ansell. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms debuts in January 2026.

Mercy: Exclusive First Look With Chris Pratt, Kali Reis And Timur Bekmambetov

Director Timur Bekmambetov will be joined by stars Chris Pratt and Kali Reis to discuss their sci-fi crime thriller Mercy, which centers on an LAPD detective who’s accused of murdering his wife and must prove his innocence or face death. Mercy hits theaters on January 23, 2026.
Apple TV+ Presents Slow Horses

Prime Video will be previewing the upcoming second season of Cross with a panel that includes cast members Aldis Hodge, Isaiah Mustafa and Alona Tal.
FX’s Alien: Earth Moderated Q&A And Screening

Fresh off the season one finale of Alien: Earth, creator Noah Hawley, executive producer David W. Zucker and cast members Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin and Babou Ceesay will discuss the sci-fi series.

Paramount Pictures Presents The Running Man

Get ready for the release of The Running Man, based on Stephen King’s best seller, with a panel featuring writer-director Edgar Wright and stars Glen Powell and Lee Pace.
The film follows Ben Richards (Powell), a working-class man who reluctantly joins a deadly competition in which contestants must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins. The Running Man hits theaters on November 14.
Sigourney Weaver On Alien And Beyond
When: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST
Veteran actor Sigourney Weaver will sit down with Happy Sad Confused podcast host Josh Horowitz to talk about her iconic role as Ripley in the Alien franchise and other notable sci-fi parts.
Probably The Best Invincible Panel In The History Of Invincible Panels
When: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. EST
Invincible co-creator, co-showrunner and executive producer Robert Kirkman will be joined by members of the voice cast, including Emmy winner Steven Yeun and Gillian Jacobs, to tease season four of the popular animated series.
Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe (AMC/AMC+)
When: 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. EST
AMC Networks will preview Talamasca: The Secret Order, the latest series in Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, which focuses on an international spy agency for immortals. Talamasca: The Secret Order will premiere on October 26 with two episodes on AMC and AMC+.
The studio will also tease The Vampire Lestat (the third season of Interview With the Vampire), which premieres in 2026 and centers on rockstar Lestat (Sam Reid) and his band on tour. Reid will be joined at the panel by executive producer Johnson and stars Bogosian, Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman and Jennifer Ehle.

It: Welcome to Derry is comprised of eight episodes and premieres on Sunday, October 26.
