DBKL pushes PTKL2040 amendment application deadline to Aug 7

KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 — Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has extended the deadline for applications to amend the Kuala Lumpur Local Plan 2040 (PTKL2040) to 5pm on August 7.

In a statement yesterday, DBKL said the extension is intended to provide registered landowners, developers and stakeholders with more time to prepare and submit Letters of Intent together with complete supporting documents.

It said the Letter of Intent must include justifications for the proposed amendment, a clear location or site plan and the latest land title documents for the proposed site.

“The application process is open to facilitate proposed amendments to the provisions of PTKL2040 in accordance with Section 17 of the Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982 (Act 267),” it said.

Applications may be submitted in person to the director of the City Planning Department (JPRB) on Level 9, Menara DBKL 1, Jalan Raja Laut or via email at [e-mail].

DBKL said applicants requiring the preparation of a Local Plan Amendment Proposal Report (LCPPT) would be informed of the need to appoint a Registered Town Planner, depending on the scope of their applications.

DBKL also encouraged stakeholders to make full use of the extension period to ensure that applications are submitted in a complete and orderly manner. — Bernama
