XRP Tundra Presale Marks Shift In Crypto Utility and Economics

XRP has been one of the world’s most traded digital assets for years. Its utility in cross-border payments and settlement networks remains a core narrative, supported by daily volumes in the billions.

Yet despite its liquidity, XRP holders have often found themselves without yield opportunities or structured ways to compound their positions. That reality is beginning to shift as new ecosystem projects emerge with more advanced economic models.

XRP Tundra’s presale has quickly become one of the most-discussed experiments in this direction. It combines Solana’s speed with XRPL’s settlement guarantees in a dual-token system, offering yield and governance.

It sets clear launch prices and offers participants stake access. DAMM V2 liquidity pools are integrated into the process. This helps reduce volatility, a common issue in token launches.

Two-Token Structure with Transparent Valuations

XRP Tundra uses a dual-token system at its core. Presale buyers get two tokens in a single transaction. TUNDRA-S runs on Solana, while TUNDRA-X is built on XRPL. TUNDRA-S functions as the utility and yield token, while TUNDRA-X handles governance and reserves.

In Phase 4, TUNDRA-S is priced at $0.068 with a 16% token bonus. Buyers also receive free TUNDRA-X tokens worth $0.034. Launch values are already fixed: $2.50 for TUNDRA-S and $1.25 for TUNDRA-X.

40% of the TUNDRA-S supply is set aside for presale. This gives early buyers a large share of the total tokens. They’ll make up most of the circulating supply once trading starts.

This approach offers clear pricing and allocation details upfront. Most presales keep these vague until the tokens start trading. The Crypto Galaxy channel recently analyzed token launch strategies.

It highlighted the importance of publishing launch values early. This gives buyers a clear framework to evaluate potential gains. It helps them make informed decisions before investing.

From Idle XRP to Yield with Cryo Vaults

One of Tundra’s most important shifts is direct staking for XRP holders. Cryo Vaults let investors lock XRP for 7, 30, 60, or 90 days. Rewards increase with longer lock periods, reaching up to 30% APY.

Frost Keys, distributed as NFTs, further enhance flexibility by boosting yields or shortening lockups. Although staking is not live yet, presale participants secure guaranteed access.

This development is significant for long-time XRP holders, who have mostly sat on non-yielding assets. It reframes XRP as an income-producing token rather than just a settlement tool.

Liquidity Stability Through DAMM V2

Presale launches often face issues like bots and early dumping. These problems drain value before real investors can take advantage. Tundra addresses this with Meteora’s DAMM V2 pools, a liquidity system explicitly built for stability.

  • Dynamic Fees: Opening fees can reach 50%, making early dumping unprofitable. These taper to normal levels as markets mature.
  • NFT Liquidity Positions: Every liquidity commitment represents an NFT, allowing transparent tracking and transferability.
  • Permanent Locks: Core liquidity can be locked indefinitely to prevent sudden withdrawals.
  • Fee Recycling: All fees collected flow back into Cryo Vault staking rewards, converting volatility into income for long-term participants.

Converting trading friction into yield, DAMM V2 integrates liquidity directly into the tokenomics of the ecosystem. Launch day is usually the most vulnerable point in a token’s life cycle. This system turns it into a protective mechanism that boosts presale value.

Verification and Accountability

XRP Tundra reinforces its model with documentation. Cyberscope, Solidproof, and Freshcoins publish independent audits. Team identity has been verified through Vital Block KYC.

These steps provide participants with artifacts to evaluate both code quality and accountability. This aligns the presale with the standards investors expect from more established financial products.

A New Direction for XRP Economics

XRP has traditionally served as a fast, liquid settlement token. However, it offered few features or benefits directly to holders. XRP Tundra introduces a fresh approach to token launches.

It uses dual-token presales with upfront pricing and built-in staking for yield. DAMM V2 liquidity helps safeguard token value during launch.

Phase 4 offers a $0.068 entry price for TUNDRA-S. The token will reach $2.50 at launch, with an added $1.25 in free allocations. Staking access is also guaranteed ahead of time.

XRP holders no longer need to wait years for ecosystem upgrades. A financial framework is now being built directly around their token.

U.S. Senate panel to hold crypto tax policy hearing on October 1

U.S. Senate panel to hold crypto tax policy hearing on October 1

The Senate Banking Committee will hold a public hearing on October 1 to go after one of the most confusing messes in U.S. finance right now:- how crypto gets taxed. The committee confirmed the date in a notice first reported by Eleanor Terrett, and witnesses lined up include Jason Somensatto, Policy Director at Coin Center; Andrea S. Kramer, founding member of ASKramer Law; Lawrence Zlatkin, Vice President of Taxation at Coinbase; and Annette Nellen, Chair of the Digital Asset Taxation Working Group under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This hearing is meant to address a problem that’s pissed off crypto users for years, which is why every small crypto transaction, even a few dollars, triggers a tax headache. The Senate is being pushed to finally look at de minimis exemptions, which would let people use crypto for daily stuff (like grabbing a coffee) without reporting every damn thing to the IRS. Trump administration backs small crypto tax relief Cryptopolitan reported back in July that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had said that the Trump administration still wants to push through the de minimis exemption in upcoming laws. “The president did signal his support for de minimis exemption for crypto and the administration continues to be in support of that,” Karoline said. She explained that right now, using crypto for basic purchases is too complicated because of tax rules, but a change could make everyday payments smoother. “We are definitely receptive to it to make crypto payments easier and more efficient for those who seek to use crypto as simple as buying a cup of coffee — of course, right now, that cannot happen, but with the de minimis exemption perhaps it could in the future.” Karoline also revealed that President Trump plans to host a signing ceremony for the GENIUS Act, a stablecoin-focused bill expected to pass soon. That bill is part of his administration’s broader goal to make the U.S. “the crypto capital of the world.” The Senate has already tried and failed to deal with this issue before. In 2020, two Democratic lawmakers proposed the Virtual Currency Tax Fairness Act, which aimed to ignore tax on crypto gains below $200. It didn’t even make it to a vote. A similar version in 2022 also died on the floor. Then came a broader bill in 2025 called the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which covered everything from taxes to border control. Senator Cynthia Lummis, a Republican from Wyoming, tried to get a crypto exemption added in for gains under $300, but that proposal got scrapped before the final bill passed. President Trump signed it into law on July 4 without the crypto language attached. Right now, the IRS says every single crypto transaction must be reported, even if there’s no gain or the amount is tiny. If you spend $5 of bitcoin, that’s a taxable event. The idea behind the de minimis exemption is to cut through that nonsense and give users room to breathe. But it hasn’t been easy. Lawmakers face real obstacles. First, the federal government depends on tax income. If it suddenly lets millions of small crypto transactions go untaxed, that means less money coming in. And there’s no sign yet of how they’ll offset that shortfall. Even with strong voices like Cynthia and Jason in the room, the Senate still hasn’t landed on a solution. October 1 might give them a chance to do something useful. Or it might be another meeting where everyone talks and nothing happens. Get seen where it counts.
