MX Token (MX) tokenomics

MX Token (MX) is the native utility token of the MEXC (formerly MXC) ecosystem. It serves as the central medium of exchange and governance within the platform, designed to incentivize users and provide various functional benefits across the exchange's services.

Issuance and Supply Mechanism

The MX Token operates with a strictly enforced maximum supply cap to ensure long-term scarcity.

• Total Supply: The total supply of MX is capped at 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) tokens.
• Deflationary Model: The ecosystem employs a "Buy-back and Burn" mechanism. The platform uses a portion of its profits (typically from trading fees) to buy back MX tokens from the secondary market and subsequently burn them. This process permanently removes tokens from circulation, reducing the total supply over time to increase scarcity.

Allocation Mechanism

The initial distribution of MX tokens was structured to balance the needs of early supporters, the founding team, and the broader community. The allocation is divided as follows:

Usage and Incentive Mechanism

MX Token is deeply integrated into the MEXC exchange, providing multiple utilities that drive demand and reward holders:

• Trading Fee Discounts: Holders can use MX to pay for transaction fees on the platform, often receiving a significant discount compared to paying with other assets.
• Launchpad and Kickstarter Participation: MX is required to participate in token sales for new projects (Launchpad) or to vote on new listings (Kickstarter). Users who commit MX tokens receive airdrops or the right to purchase new project tokens.
• Staking and Yield: Users can stake MX tokens in various "MX-DeFi" programs to earn rewards in the form of other ecosystem tokens or additional MX.
• Governance: Token holders have the right to vote on platform proposals, including community initiatives and operational changes.
• Premium Services: MX provides access to exclusive platform features and higher-tier customer services.

Locking and Unlocking Mechanism

To prevent market volatility and ensure the long-term commitment of stakeholders, MX employs a structured unlocking schedule for its non-circulating supply.

• Daily Unlocking Ratio: The 49% of tokens set aside for pre-distribution (Team, Foundation, Partners, etc.) are unlocked daily based on a specific ratio relative to the community mining rewards. For every 51 tokens released through community incentives (transaction mining), 49 tokens from the pre-distribution pool are unlocked.
• Private Sale Pre-release: A small portion of the private sale allocation (10% of the 9% total, or 0.9% of the total supply) was designated for release prior to the standard daily unlocking schedule to provide initial liquidity.
• Staking Locks: When users participate in specific platform events like Kickstarter or Launchpad, their MX tokens are typically locked for a short duration (often 24 hours or the duration of the event) to verify commitment before rewards are distributed.
• Team Vesting: The 12% allocated to the team and platform is subject to long-term vesting, ensuring that the core developers remain aligned with the project's success over several years.
