An Arizona Republican candidate who has sung the praises of President Donald Trump's tariff policy quickly scrubbed his campaign merch website from the internet after reporters uncovered items on it that weren't made in America.

According to the Phoenix New Times, Jay Feely, the former NFL star now running for Arizona's 1st Congressional District, has made "buy American" a huge part of his campaign: "Though his campaign website is largely devoid of concrete policy proposals, the 49-year-old Feely touts his desire to 'unleash domestic manufacturing.' On social media, he has cheerleaded Trump’s tariffs."

However, the New Times uncovered that his own campaign merchandise wasn't made here.

"In his report filed in July 2025, Feely reported $1,273 paid to Greyson Clothiers for 'printing,' with the purpose listed as 'advertising,'" said the report. "Per its website, Greyson Clothiers manufactures its products in Peru."

Then, in Feely's September financial report, continued the New Times, "the campaign reported purchasing nearly $600 in merchandise from Rush Order Tees. That company is based in Pennsylvania, but the shirts listed from them on Feely’s campaign site — the 'Next Level 6210 Premium Fitted Tee' — are manufactured by Next Level Apparel, which produces its apparel and t-shirts in more than 20 factories, none of which are in the U.S. Most are located in Honduras, Nicaragua, Egypt and Bangladesh, while a few others are located in Haiti, El Salvador, Pakistan and Cambodia."

Shortly after reporters reached out to Feely's campaign manager with questions about this, the URL “jayfeelyforcongress.com/store” stopped working, replaced with a blank screen with a password login.

This is not the first time a MAGA candidate has been caught selling products made overseas — most famously, this happened to Trump himself. In 2018, his re-election campaign gear made in China got held up at U.S. ports due to the tariffs he imposed at that time.
