Franklin Templeton, one of the world’s largest asset management companies, has taken a significant step in the field of blockchain-based financial products by forming a strategic partnership with Ondo Finance (ONDO).
As part of the collaboration, five different exchange-traded funds (ETFs) managed by Franklin Templeton will be tokenized, making them available for 24/7 trading via cryptocurrency wallets.
According to a statement by Ondo Finance, this partnership with Franklin Templeton, which has total assets exceeding $1.7 trillion, opens a new era in delivering traditional financial products to global investors via blockchain infrastructure. The tokenized ETFs will be offered to investors through Ondo’s Global Markets platform, making them fully accessible on-chain for the first time.

The project will create digital versions of five ETFs covering different investment categories such as growth-oriented stocks, large-cap companies, fixed-income assets, income-driven equity strategies, and gold. The products to be tokenized include the Franklin Focused Growth ETF (FFOG), Franklin U.S. Large Cap Multifactor Index ETF (FLQL), Franklin Responsibly Sourced Gold ETF (FGDL), Franklin High Yield Corporate ETF (FLHY), and Franklin Income Equity Focus ETF (INCE). These products will offer the same strategies available in traditional financial markets while providing the accessibility and liquidity advantages of blockchain technology.
Under the partnership, Franklin Templeton will continue to be the asset manager for the ETFs, while Ondo Finance will provide the tokenization infrastructure and digital distribution layer. This aims to make investment products accessible to a wider global user base while maintaining institutional standards.
