TLDR

  • Ford is recalling 254,640 SUVs in the U.S. due to a software issue in the Image Processing Module A
  • Affected vehicles include the Lincoln Navigator, Lincoln Nautilus, Lincoln Aviator, and Ford Explorer
  • The fault can cause loss of rearview camera image and disable advanced driver assistance features
  • Features affected include pre-collision assist, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring
  • The fix will be a free software update via dealer or over-the-air; owner letters go out March 30

Ford Motor (F) has issued a recall covering 254,640 SUVs in the United States after a software fault was found that can knock out rearview camera visibility and key safety features.

The recall was flagged by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Tuesday. It covers specific model years across four vehicle lines.

Affected vehicles are the 2022–2025 Lincoln Navigator, 2024–2025 Lincoln Nautilus, 2025 Lincoln Aviator, and 2025 Ford Explorer.

The root cause is the Image Processing Module A, which can unexpectedly reset. When that happens, drivers lose the rearview camera feed along with several driver assistance systems.

Ford stock was up 0.2% in premarket trading on Tuesday. That followed a 2.1% gain on Monday.

What Features Are Affected

The reset can disable pre-collision assist, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring. These are standard safety tools that drivers often rely on without thinking twice.

Ford said it is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or fires connected to the fault.

The fix is a software update to the Image Processing Module A. It will be carried out either at a dealer or through an over-the-air update, at no cost to the owner.

What Owners Can Expect

Ford plans to mail notification letters to affected owners on March 30.

Owners who want to check if their vehicle is included in the recall can use their VIN on the NHTSA website.

The recall was formally submitted in a filing with the NHTSA, which published the details Tuesday morning.

This is a software-only remedy, meaning no physical parts need to be replaced.

Ford did not give a timeline for when the over-the-air update would roll out, though dealer visits are available as an alternative.

The recall spans model years from 2022 through 2025, covering a relatively wide window of production across the Lincoln and Ford SUV lineup.

As of Tuesday morning, Ford stock was trading slightly higher following the recall announcement, with the premarket gain of 0.2% building on the previous session’s 2.1% rise.

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
