PANews reported on March 24 that Gate Pay announced the launch of its Merchant MCP service, promoting the application of AI Agents in payment operations. This service encapsulates high-frequency operations such as balance inquiries, order inquiries, and refunds into tools compliant with the MCP protocol. Merchants can then use natural language commands to complete inquiries and operations in customer service, finance, and operations scenarios, improving efficiency and optimizing process collaboration.
Gate Pay introduces Restricted Access Keys (RAKs), supporting on-demand configuration of access permissions. Combined with idempotency checks, frequency limits, and risk control mechanisms, it ensures controllable and traceable operations. The current MVP version supports three core capabilities: balance inquiry, order inquiry, and refunds, and will continue to expand to more scenarios in the future.
Gate has built a unified interface architecture covering six major capabilities, including CEX, DEX, wallet, payment, data and information, which supports AI Agents to complete the entire process from information acquisition to execution within the same platform. The launch of Merchant MCP further strengthens the capability boundaries of AI Agents at the execution layer, providing more direct infrastructure support for the implementation of AI in real business scenarios.
