Key Takeaways

  • Nvidia is collaborating with major telecom and technology firms to develop AI-native 6G infrastructure.
  • The initiative aims to embed AI across radio access networks, edge and core systems.
  • 6G is positioned as critical infrastructure for autonomous machines and “physical AI.”
  • The coalition emphasizes open, secure and software-defined network architecture.

The chipmaker said it is partnering with companies including Booz Allen, BT Group, Cisco Systems, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, Nokia, SK Telecom, SoftBank Corp. and T-Mobile US to develop AI-native, software-defined wireless platforms designed to power future 6G networks.

AI as the Core of 6G Architecture

Unlike previous wireless generations built primarily for faster consumer connectivity, 6G is being designed to support what Nvidia calls “physical AI” – networks capable of powering autonomous vehicles, robotics, industrial automation and billions of connected sensors.

Legacy wireless architectures were not built to manage the complexity and real-time intelligence required by such systems. Nvidia’s approach centers on embedding AI across the entire radio access network (RAN), as well as at the edge and core layers, enabling networks to sense, analyze and respond autonomously.

“AI is redefining computing and driving the largest infrastructure buildout in human history – and telecommunications is next,” Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang said in a statement. He described the effort as transforming telecom networks into “AI infrastructure everywhere.”

Open and Software-Defined Networks

The coalition’s framework emphasizes openness and interoperability, with software-defined architecture allowing networks to evolve through updates rather than hardware overhauls.

Under the proposed AI-RAN model, 6G networks would continuously improve through software, enabling real-time optimization, automated decision-making and enhanced security features. The initiative also highlights supply-chain resilience and trust — issues that have become central to global telecom policy debates.

By building on open platforms, the group aims to attract a broader ecosystem of developers, startups and research institutions to accelerate innovation.

Telecom’s Next Infrastructure Cycle

The announcement signals Nvidia’s intention to expand beyond data centers and AI accelerators into core telecommunications infrastructure – a sector expected to see significant investment as 6G standards begin to take shape later this decade.

Telecom operators are under pressure to modernize networks to handle AI-driven workloads while maintaining energy efficiency and cybersecurity safeguards. Embedding AI directly into wireless architecture could allow carriers to automate operations, reduce latency and support advanced edge computing use cases.

While commercial 6G deployment is still years away, the coalition’s early alignment underscores how major technology and telecom players are positioning themselves for what could become the next major global infrastructure cycle.

For Nvidia, the push represents another extension of its strategy to place AI at the center of every computing layer – from cloud data centers to the wireless networks that connect billions of devices.

Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny

The post Shocking OpenVPP Partnership Claim Draws Urgent Scrutiny appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The cryptocurrency world is buzzing with a recent controversy surrounding a bold OpenVPP partnership claim. This week, OpenVPP (OVPP) announced what it presented as a significant collaboration with the U.S. government in the innovative field of energy tokenization. However, this claim quickly drew the sharp eye of on-chain analyst ZachXBT, who highlighted a swift and official rebuttal that has sent ripples through the digital asset community. What Sparked the OpenVPP Partnership Claim Controversy? The core of the issue revolves around OpenVPP’s assertion of a U.S. government partnership. This kind of collaboration would typically be a monumental endorsement for any private cryptocurrency project, especially given the current regulatory climate. Such a partnership could signify a new era of mainstream adoption and legitimacy for energy tokenization initiatives. OpenVPP initially claimed cooperation with the U.S. government. This alleged partnership was said to be in the domain of energy tokenization. The announcement generated considerable interest and discussion online. ZachXBT, known for his diligent on-chain investigations, was quick to flag the development. He brought attention to the fact that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Hester Peirce had directly addressed the OpenVPP partnership claim. Her response, delivered within hours, was unequivocal and starkly contradicted OpenVPP’s narrative. How Did Regulatory Authorities Respond to the OpenVPP Partnership Claim? Commissioner Hester Peirce’s statement was a crucial turning point in this unfolding story. She clearly stated that the SEC, as an agency, does not engage in partnerships with private cryptocurrency projects. This response effectively dismantled the credibility of OpenVPP’s initial announcement regarding their supposed government collaboration. Peirce’s swift clarification underscores a fundamental principle of regulatory bodies: maintaining impartiality and avoiding endorsements of private entities. Her statement serves as a vital reminder to the crypto community about the official stance of government agencies concerning private ventures. Moreover, ZachXBT’s analysis…
