Grafton Resources Inc. has commenced an 80 line-kilometre mobile magnetotelluric heliborne survey at its Alicahue Gold-Copper Project in Valparaiso, Chile. The survey, conducted by Expert Geophysics Surveys Inc., is expected to cover the entire project area within a single day, with interpreted results anticipated in March 2026.

The MobileMT technology represents a significant advancement in geophysical exploration, capable of identifying subsurface geologic structures, alteration halos, and contrasting lithologies. When combined with complementary VLF-EM data that provides near-surface electromagnetic information, the integrated approach offers increased resolution of shallow features. This combined methodology aims to identify deep-seated faults, lithological contacts, and structures controlling mineral systems from surface to depths of approximately 1 to 2 kilometers, depending on the conductivity distribution of the local geology.

Campbell Smyth, Chairman of the Company, explained the survey’s potential significance: ‘We expect the Mobile MT data will provide a three-dimensional image of the Alicahue Project area. We hope the survey will assist us in tracing the outline of a possible porphyry centre in the southeast concession. Further we hope the survey helps us to vector towards the origin of the IOCG vein systems and possible feeder zones to gold and copper vein mineralization mapped in the area.’

The technology is particularly valuable for identifying areas of electrically conductive sulphides potentially linked to mineralized porphyry intrusive centers, as well as resistive bodies representative of intrusions. This capability makes MobileMT surveys crucial for modern mineral exploration, especially in regions with complex geology like Chile’s mineral-rich districts.

For investors and stakeholders seeking additional information about the company’s regulatory filings and risk disclosures, detailed documentation is available through the Canadian securities regulatory system at https://www.sedarplus.ca. The Alicahue Project represents a significant exploration opportunity in a region known for its mineral potential. The rapid data collection capability of the heliborne survey allows for efficient exploration of large areas that might otherwise require extensive ground-based work. The anticipated March 2026 results timeline suggests relatively quick turnaround from data collection to interpretation, potentially accelerating the company’s exploration decision-making process.

This survey approach reflects the increasing sophistication of mineral exploration technologies, where advanced geophysical methods can provide critical subsurface information before committing to more expensive drilling programs. The ability to map structures controlling mineral systems from surface to significant depths represents a substantial improvement over traditional exploration methods, potentially reducing both exploration risk and environmental impact through more targeted investigation.

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
