PANews reported on February 12th, citing CoinDesk, that Nicholas Peach, Head of iShares for BlackRock Asia Pacific, stated at the Consensus Hong Kong conference that if Asian portfolio models allocated 1% of their assets to cryptocurrencies, it would generate nearly $2 trillion in new capital inflows, equivalent to approximately 60% of the current total market capitalization of the crypto market. Peach pointed out that Asian household wealth is approximately $108 trillion, meaning even conservative asset allocation adjustments could have a significant impact on the digital asset market. He emphasized that the sheer size of funds within the traditional financial system means that significant inflows can occur without large-scale adoption. Peach also noted that Asian investors hold a significant share of US-listed crypto ETFs, and the overall adoption rate of ETFs in the region is rapidly increasing.
