Fox News ridiculed for being 'triggered' over Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show

The top stories on the Fox News website attack Bad Bunny for drawing fury from President Donald Trump, who doesn't appear to be a fan of Puerto Rico. In fact, Trump dismisses Puerto Rico so much that he once suggested to trade the island for Greenland.

After the Super Bowl halftime show, in which Spanish-singing Bad Bunny advocated for love over hate and an embrace of multiculturalism, Trump raged on Truth Social.

Trump, who doesn't speak any language other than English, alleged the halftime show "makes no sense."

Fox News slammed Bad Bunny's show on its Spanish language website.

"Many viewers were frustrated that almost none of the show was in English," the subheadline read at Fox. The site also had a piece titled: "Turning Point USA's patriotic Super Bowl alternative earns praise as millions tune in over Bad Bunny."

While Kid Rock's lip-syncing show certainly drew millions of online viewers, Daniel Chavkin wrote in The Sporting News that the Super Bowl usually draws 100 million or more viewers. In fact, preliminary ratings show it set a new record with the highest ratings since 2018.

The Onion's CEO Ben Collins cracked up over one Fox headline reading: "Bad Bunny's halftime show ripped for language barrier, suspected political message." Collins wrote on BlueSky, "'Suspected political message' = in Spanish so the mouth noises scared me."

The Onion also published a mock report reading, "Terrified Conservatives Lose Ability to Speak English After Exposed to Bad Bunny Performance."

Researcher Mark Peifer pointed to the Fox headline "Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show ignites Trump's fury, divides viewers." Peifer responded, "I guess 95% loving it and 5% hating Bad Bunny is a 'division.'"

Mother Jones Washington Bureau chief David Corn commented, "Bad Bunny just gave Fox News three weeks of content."

Even Meghan McCain told Fox to lighten up. "I’m sorry, but I just genuinely question your taste level if you didn’t enjoy the Bad Bunny halftime show. And everything in life doesn’t have to be ruined with politics."

Fox opinion columnist Jorge Bonilla wrote that the halftime show was a "slap at America." Claiming it was "divisive" for "putting identity politics front and center."

He was swiftly called an "idiot."

Lawyer Alex Colangelo said of Fox News, "Seems like the free speech crowd were really triggered by Spanish music. Good thing they have a safe space over at Fox News."

The Super Bowl Party at Trump's Mar-a-Lago country club also showed the Bad Bunny halftime show instead of the Kid Rock version, according to a video from one observer.

Curve Finance votes on revenue-sharing model for CRV holders

Curve Finance votes on revenue-sharing model for CRV holders

The post Curve Finance votes on revenue-sharing model for CRV holders appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Curve Finance has proposed a new protocol called Yield Basis that would share revenue directly with CRV holders, marking a shift from one-off incentives to sustainable income. Summary Curve Finance has put forward a revenue-sharing protocol to give CRV holders sustainable income beyond emissions and fees. The plan would mint $60M in crvUSD to seed three Bitcoin liquidity pools (WBTC, cbBTC, tBTC), with 35–65% of revenue distributed to veCRV stakers. The DAO vote runs from up to Sept. 24, with the proposal seen as a major step to strengthen CRV tokenomics after past liquidity and governance challenges. Curve Finance founder Michael Egorov has introduced a proposal to give CRV token holders a more direct way to earn income, launching a system called Yield Basis that aims to turn the governance token into a sustainable, yield-bearing asset.  The proposal has been published on the Curve DAO (CRV) governance forum, with voting open until Sept. 24. A new model for CRV rewards Yield Basis is designed to distribute transparent and consistent returns to CRV holders who lock their tokens for veCRV governance rights. Unlike past incentive programs, which relied heavily on airdrops and emissions, the protocol channels income from Bitcoin-focused liquidity pools directly back to token holders. To start, Curve would mint $60 million worth of crvUSD, its over-collateralized stablecoin, with proceeds allocated across three pools — WBTC, cbBTC, and tBTC — each capped at $10 million. 25% of Yield Basis tokens would be reserved for the Curve ecosystem, and between 35% and 65% of Yield Basis’s revenue would be given to veCRV holders. By emphasizing Bitcoin (BTC) liquidity and offering yields without the short-term loss risks associated with automated market makers, the protocol hopes to draw in professional traders and institutions. Context and potential impact on Curve Finance The proposal comes as Curve continues to modify…
