The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host the world’s largest one-stop jewellery marketplace in early March, featuring the 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show from March 2-6 at AsiaWorld-Expo and the 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show from March 4-8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The twin shows will bring together approximately 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions, with 70% coming from outside Hong Kong, reflecting expanded participation from Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, and first-time exhibitor Uzbekistan.

Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized that these events highlight Hong Kong’s status as an international trade capital and jewellery sourcing hub. This positioning is supported by recent trade data showing Hong Kong’s premium jewellery exports to ASEAN increased by 51%, while exports to the United Kingdom, Australia, and Switzerland grew by 36%, 28%, and 10% respectively.

The shows will feature over 40 themed pavilions, including the debut of the Hard Pure Gold Pavilion organized by the World Gold Council, showcasing innovative gold craftsmanship from 11 Chinese Mainland exhibitors. This pavilion aims to leverage the fairs as a springboard for international expansion of hard pure gold technology, which has gained momentum in Chinese Mainland due to its high purity, enhanced hardness, and modern aesthetic possibilities. A seminar organized by the World Gold Council will examine the latest developments in the global gold market and hard pure gold technology.

Cultural heritage craftsmanship will be prominently featured, with Chinese Mainland exhibitors showcasing pieces that incorporate national intangible heritage crafts. Guangdong JIABAO Pavilion Jewellery (Hong Kong) Company Ltd presents an 18K gold, handmade filigree butterfly brooch requiring over four months to complete, while Shenzhen Meifei Precious Metals Co Ltd brings a ‘Palatial Modern Chinese Style’ jewellery series incorporating six traditional gold techniques. These presentations align with events spotlighting Oriental aesthetics in jewellery, including the Hong Kong International Fashion Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition 2026 and the inaugural International Fei Cui Jewellery Design Competition 2026.

The Hall of Fame at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show returns with more than 40% expansion in scale, featuring renowned international brands like Turkish diamond jewellery brand Zen Diamond and Hong Kong exhibitors Continental Diamond Company and Unique Brilliant Ltd showcasing exceptional pieces. The shows will also feature rare treasures, including antique jewellery from Baroque Antique & Jewellery Limited and World Coins Co., Ltd., and exceptional gemstones from international exhibitors like German company Caram e.K. and Canadian exhibitor Korite Ammolite Ltd.

More than 20 seminars and networking sessions will cover industry trends, including how artificial intelligence moves from design to commercialisation and how to leverage e-commerce platforms to enhance brand visibility. The exhibition will also host a seminar titled ‘The Origins of Style: Tracing the Imprint of Time and Craftsmanship’ featuring British historian and jewellery authority Dr. Jack Ogden.

The HKTDC will facilitate business opportunities through the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, using AI-powered ‘Click2Match’ for online business-matching from February 23 to March 13 and ‘Scan2Match’ for continuing discussions online. Buyers can use the HKTDC Marketplace App and official websites like http://hkjewelleryshow.hktdc.com/tc and http://hkdgp.hktdc.com/tc for online verification and admission. The HKTDC has partnered with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and local enterprises to provide exclusive buyer privileges including dining, air tickets, and hotel offers, while arranging free shuttle bus services between venues.

The post The Manchester City Donnarumma Doubters Have Missed Something Huge appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 14: Gianluigi Donnarumma of Manchester City celebrates the second City goal during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Manchester United at Etihad Stadium on September 14, 2025 in Manchester, England. (Photo by Visionhaus/Getty Images) Visionhaus/Getty Images For a goalkeeper who’d played an influential role in the club’s first-ever Champions League triumph, it was strange to see Gianluigi Donnarumma so easily discarded. Soccer is a brutal game, but the sudden, drastic demotion of the Italian from Paris Saint-Germain’s lineup for the UEFA Super Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur before he was sold to Manchester City was shockingly brutal. Coach Luis Enrique isn’t a man who minces his words, so he was blunt when asked about the decision on social media. “I am supported by my club and we are trying to find the best solution,” he told a news conference. “It is a difficult decision. I only have praise for Donnarumma. He is one of the very best goalkeepers out there and an even better man. “But we were looking for a different profile. It’s very difficult to take these types of decisions.” The last line has really stuck, especially since it became clear that Manchester City was Donnarumma’s next destination. Pep Guardiola, under whom the Italian will be playing this season, is known for brutally axing goalkeepers he didn’t feel fit his profile. The most notorious was Joe Hart, who was jettisoned many years ago for very similar reasons to Enrique. So how can it be that the Catalan coach is turning once again to a so-called old-school keeper? Well, the truth, as so often the case, is not quite that simple. As Italian soccer expert James Horncastle pointed out in The Athletic, Enrique’s focus on needing a “different profile” is overblown. Lucas Chevalier,…
