'Should all be in jail': Trump starts weekend with furious attack on favorite foe

President Donald Trump unleashed an unhinged attack on Minnesota’s Somalian community and Rep. Illhan Omar (D-MN) Saturday in just the latest instance of his ongoing feud with the state's leadership.

“‘Scammer’ Illhan Omar and her absolutely terrible friends from Somalia should all be in jail right now or, far worse, send them back to Somalia,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “‘Governor’ Waltz is either the most CORRUPT government official in history, or the most INCOMPETENT. Even a very low IQ person, of which there are many, should have known what was going on in Minnesota!!!”

Trump has fixated on Minnesota in recent weeks over the alleged fraud scandal involving Somali daycares, having deployed thousands of federal immigration enforcement agents to the state in response. That deployment has been chaotic, and resulted in the killings of American citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti this month.

As for his attacks on Somalians, Trump has previously called Somali immigrants “garbage,” an attack that has seen Somali Trump supporters break with the president.
