CNN's White House Correspondent Kristen Holmes thinks that the White House has "lost the plot."

On Friday, Dana Bashnplayed conflicting statements in which JD Vance appears to have changed his story. Bash suggested it might be gaslighting.

On Jan. 7, Vance spoke at a White House press conference, where he said, "You have a federal law enforcement official engaged in federal law enforcement action. That's a federal issue. That guy is protected by absolute immunity."

When speaking to those on the ground in Minnesota, however, Vance denied ever saying it.

"No, I didn't say and I don't think any other official within the Trump administration said that officers who engaged in wrongdoing would enjoy immunity. That's absurd," Vance claimed.

Bash also cited an incident in which the Department of Homeland Security appeared to change the face of a woman they said they'd arrested. The photo of her arrest shows her sobbing. When Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted the photo she was no longer crying and lipstick added.

The arrest was for disrupting a church service in protest.

"So these are some examples of how they're trying to seize back the narrative, but doing so with a little bit of gaslighting," said Bash.

Holmes agreed.

"They've lost the plot, and they think that the Americans have lost the plot," she said.

"And so what you see when you see president Trump out there doing his own briefing — which, by the way, he was not scheduled to do, is because President Trump thinks that he's the one who can actually deliver the message when it comes to immigration. Sure, we are hearing some kind of softening of rhetoric going back on what they said. That is not changing the way that this administration is looking at ICE," she continued.

"Look at what President Trump did. Yes, he had a softer language when it came to the woman who was shot multiple times, causing outcry across the country. But when it came to immigration, he held up those mug shots," Holmes said. "He talked about what they were doing. He believes that his message isn't getting across. He also believes he won on immigration. He believes he is the strongest messenger and that people, if they actually understand what ICE is doing, will be come back around to him."

However, she said, the administration doesn't want the photos and videos to be in the public. The incident in Minnesota with a 5-year-old who was taken by ICE while his mother hid in their home is one of many stories they want to change the narrative on, according to Holmes.

"They don't want to change what they're doing, but they don't want that to be the narrative," said Holmes. "They want the narrative to be. Look at what we're doing for immigration, right."

Whales Dump 200 Million XRP in Just 2 Weeks – Is XRP’s Price on the Verge of Collapse?

Whales offload 200 million XRP leaving market uncertainty behind. XRP faces potential collapse as whales drive major price shifts. Is XRP’s future in danger after massive sell-off by whales? XRP’s price has been under intense pressure recently as whales reportedly offloaded a staggering 200 million XRP over the past two weeks. This massive sell-off has raised alarms across the cryptocurrency community, as many wonder if the market is on the brink of collapse or just undergoing a temporary correction. According to crypto analyst Ali (@ali_charts), this surge in whale activity correlates directly with the price fluctuations seen in the past few weeks. XRP experienced a sharp spike in late July and early August, but the price quickly reversed as whales began to sell their holdings in large quantities. The increased volume during this period highlights the intensity of the sell-off, leaving many traders to question the future of XRP’s value. Can XRP Recover or Is a Bigger Decline Ahead? As the market absorbs the effects of the whale offload, technical indicators suggest that XRP may be facing a period of consolidation. The Relative Strength Index (RSI), currently sitting at 53.05, signals a neutral market stance, indicating that XRP could move in either direction. This leaves traders uncertain whether the XRP will break above its current resistance levels or continue to fall as more whales sell off their holdings. This often points to a potential slowdown or pullback in price, further raising concerns about the future direction of the XRP. With the price currently around $3.02, many are questioning whether XRP can regain its footing or if it will continue to decline. The Aftermath of Whale Activity: Is XRP’s Future in Danger? Despite the large sell-off, XRP is not yet showing signs of total collapse. However, the market remains fragile, and the price is likely to remain volatile in the coming days. With whales continuing to influence price movements, many investors are watching closely to see if this trend will reverse or intensify. The coming weeks will be critical for determining whether XRP can stabilize or face further declines. The combination of whale offloading and technical indicators suggest that XRP’s price is at a crossroads. Traders and investors alike are waiting for clear signals to determine if the XRP will bounce back or continue its downward trajectory.
