NVIDIA announces native Linux and Amazon Fire TV support for GeForce NOW, introduces flight stick controls, and adds six new games to its streaming service.

NVIDIA has unveiled significant updates to its cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW, during the CES 2026 event. These updates include the launch of native applications for Linux and Amazon Fire TV, alongside new flight stick controls, according to NVIDIA’s official announcement.

Expanding GeForce NOW Accessibility

The new native app for Linux, initially available in beta for Ubuntu 24.04 and later versions, fulfills a long-standing demand from the gaming community. This app allows users to transform compatible Linux systems into RTX-powered gaming platforms, capable of streaming at up to 5K resolution and 120 fps, or 1080p at 360 fps. This brings advanced features like ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS to Linux users without the need for a high-end local GPU.

Similarly, the Amazon Fire TV app turns streaming sticks into cloud gaming devices, enhancing the GeForce NOW ecosystem. This development enables gamers to stream their PC libraries directly to their TVs using gamepads, eliminating the necessity of a console or gaming PC.

Flight Stick Controls and Enhanced Streaming

In a move to cater to flight simulation enthusiasts, NVIDIA has introduced flight stick support for GeForce NOW. This feature allows virtual pilots to connect hardware from leading brands like Thrustmaster and Logitech, enabling a realistic and immersive gaming experience. With the power of RTX 5080, users can enjoy ultra-low latency and precise controls in games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and War Thunder.

Streamlined Access and New Game Titles

GeForce NOW has also streamlined user access with new single sign-on capabilities. This feature, starting with Battle.net integration and soon expanding to Gaijin.net, simplifies the login process, allowing players to access their games more quickly across various devices.

Additionally, NVIDIA is expanding its game library with six new titles, including IO Interactive’s 007 First Light, Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem, and Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert. These games offer a mix of stealth, horror, and fantasy action, all available for high-fidelity streaming via GeForce NOW.

Broader Implications and Future Prospects

This expansion of GeForce NOW demonstrates NVIDIA’s commitment to broadening its cloud gaming service’s reach and functionality. By supporting more platforms and enhancing user experience through seamless integration and advanced control options, NVIDIA is positioning GeForce NOW as a versatile and accessible gaming solution. As more AAA titles join the platform, users can expect continued innovation and growth in the cloud gaming landscape.

Caldera launches strategic reserve dedicated to ERA tokens, with an initial purchase of 3.9 million tokens

PANews reported on September 18th that the Caldera Foundation announced the launch of the "Caldera Strategic Reserve": a specially established ERA reserve designed to support the long-term and stable growth of the Caldera ecosystem. The reserve accumulates funds by converting various sources of liquidity into ERA tokens. These sources include but are not limited to corporate partnerships, on-chain and off-chain revenue, liquidity provision fees, and other additional funding channels. The Foundation has already begun accumulating ERA tokens in the initial phase and has purchased 3.9 million tokens previously traded on the open market, which are now locked in the reserve. The Foundation stated that it has no plans to withdraw funds and that this is a long-term commitment.
