Greatest Hits by Guns N’ Roses has long reigned as one of the most popular releases in America. It has been a top seller for decades, and it remains a force on streaming platforms, which have affected placements on the Billboard 200 for years. As Americans continue to consume the hits-packed collection, Greatest Hits reaches a special milestone – one which only the biggest and most beloved can even approach – and the album makes history.

Greatest Hits slips a few spots on the Billboard 200, dipping from No. 127 to No. 133. Luminate reports that the compilation shifted just under 9,900 equivalent units in the latest tracking period. Most of that activity comes from streams, though the collection also managed to sell 1,000 copies.
The compilation’s current position and the consumption totals are noteworthy, but they are not what prove Greatest Hits to be one of the most successful musical offerings of all time.

Guns N’ Roses Continues to Live on Several Billboard Charts
Greatest Hits can be found on three Billboard tallies this frame. The project also falls slightly on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, while holding steady at No. 6 on the Top Hard Rock Albums list. The set sees one single, “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” appear on multiple rosters as well.
