KuCoin has expanded the reach of its Fast Trade suite with a major upgrade that makes converting crypto to cash simpler and faster for users around the world. The exchange today rolled out a global “Sell Crypto to Card” capability that allows users to convert USDT into 41 fiat currencies and withdraw funds straight to their Visa or MasterCard bank cards, bringing a near-instant off-ramp to everyday spending.

The upgrade is focused on convenience and speed. KuCoin says most transfers arrive within minutes, giving users quick access to local currency in markets where crypto adoption is strong. Behind the quick turnaround is KuCoin’s security and compliance framework, which the company highlights as a core part of delivering smooth, protected settlements for customers moving between crypto and traditional finance.

KuCoin Boosts Fiat Access

By supporting a wide range of localized currencies, the new Sell to Card feature aims to remove friction for users who want to turn digital assets into cash for daily needs. KuCoin positions this as an extension of its broader Fast Trade offerings, designed to be both accessible and reliable, while promising plans to broaden the capability further by adding more cryptocurrencies and fiat options down the road.

To celebrate the launch, KuCoin is running a global promotion that includes zero-fee perks and a 45,000 USDT reward pool. Early participants will be eligible for bonus rewards and premium benefits intended to make the off-ramp experience even more attractive during the rollout.

Founded in 2017, KuCoin serves more than 40 million users across over 200 countries and regions. The platform offers access to more than 1,000 digital assets and a suite of services that range from spot and futures trading to institutional products, a Web3 wallet and payments solutions.

KuCoin also emphasizes its security posture: the exchange holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27701:2025 and CCSS certifications, and it notes that it is the only top global exchange to have achieved all four major security certifications, a claim the company uses to underline its commitment to protecting user assets.

Recognition from outlets such as Forbes and rankings like Hurun’s “Top 50 Global Unicorns” feature in KuCoin’s brief history, and under the leadership of CEO BC Wong, the company says it will continue to focus on making crypto-to-fiat transitions simpler and more practical for everyday use.

For users who frequently bridge the gap between crypto and traditional finance, the Sell to Card expansion offers a faster, more direct path from tokens to spending power, and KuCoin’s promotional push gives early adopters an extra nudge to try the new experience.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
