Satoshi Nakamoto Sculpture to be Permanently Installed in Buenos Aires After Winning Art Competition

  • A new Satoshi Nakamoto sculpture, “Somos Génesis,” wins a 2,000 dollar BTC prize in Buenos Aires.
  • The competition featured nearly 300 artists, merging crypto culture with physical public art displays.

A sculpture representing the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, will be permanently installed in the city of Buenos Aires. This development follows the announcement of the winners of the fifth edition of the PremioB·Arte, organized by the NGO Bitcoin Argentina. The award ceremony formed a key part of the 13th edition of LABITCONF 2025, regarded as the leading Bitcoin conference in Latin America.

The winning project in the sculpture category, titled “Somos Génesis” (“We Are Genesis”), was created by the artists Ricardo & Celeste. The work earned them a prize of 2,000 dollars in Bitcoin. As stipulated by the competition’s guidelines, the sculpture will be permanently placed in the Parque de la Innovación (Innovation Park) of Buenos Aires. This park is a physical space designed to support activities for entrepreneurs and researchers in science and technology.

The same sculpture category also awarded a second place to the project “La fuente de Satoshi” (“The Satoshi Fountain”), by artist Sebastián Nill. This recognition included a prize of 500 dollars in BTC.

Beyond sculptural work, the contest awarded other forms of artistic expression. In the digital art category, artist Blas V. was the winner. Meanwhile, the awardee in the physical art category was Kathonejo. Both creators individually received 500 dollars in BTC for their works, which were also inspired by the figure of Satoshi Nakamoto.

An Event Consolidating the Intersection of Art and Cryptography

The NGO Bitcoin Argentina highlighted the extensive participation in this fifth edition of the award. Close to 300 artists submitted original works for consideration.

The permanent installation of “Somos Génesis” in a public space of the city marks a tangible milestone, fusing the legacy of Bitcoin with the urban and cultural environment of Buenos Aires. This initiative reinforces the physical presence of a digital technology through art, creating a meeting point for residents and visitors.

EUR/CHF slides as Euro struggles post-inflation data

The post EUR/CHF slides as Euro struggles post-inflation data appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. EUR/CHF weakens for a second straight session as the euro struggles to recover post-Eurozone inflation data. Eurozone core inflation steady at 2.3%, headline CPI eases to 2.0% in August. SNB maintains a flexible policy outlook ahead of its September 25 decision, with no immediate need for easing. The Euro (EUR) trades under pressure against the Swiss Franc (CHF) on Wednesday, with EUR/CHF extending losses for the second straight session as the common currency struggles to gain traction following Eurozone inflation data. At the time of writing, the cross is trading around 0.9320 during the American session. The latest inflation data from Eurostat showed that Eurozone price growth remained broadly stable in August, reinforcing the European Central Bank’s (ECB) cautious stance on monetary policy. The Core Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), which excludes volatile items such as food and energy, rose 2.3% YoY, in line with both forecasts and the previous month’s reading. On a monthly basis, core inflation increased by 0.3%, unchanged from July, highlighting persistent underlying price pressures in the bloc. Meanwhile, headline inflation eased to 2.0% YoY in August, down from 2.1% in July and slightly below expectations. On a monthly basis, prices rose just 0.1%, missing forecasts for a 0.2% increase and decelerating from July’s 0.2% rise. The inflation release follows last week’s ECB policy decision, where the central bank kept all three key interest rates unchanged and signaled that policy is likely at its terminal level. While officials acknowledged progress in bringing inflation down, they reiterated a cautious, data-dependent approach going forward, emphasizing the need to maintain restrictive conditions for an extended period to ensure price stability. On the Swiss side, disinflation appears to be deepening. The Producer and Import Price Index dropped 0.6% in August, marking a sharp 1.8% annual decline. Broader inflation remains…
