This pilot will enable inbound travelers at Zayed International Airport to make payments using stablecoins and other digital assets. The move supports the UAE’s goal of promoting seamless travel and a digital economy.

Abu Dhabi Embraces Contactless Crypto Payments

Abu Dhabi Airports has introduced the initiative to make travel more convenient for international passengers. The wallet allows travelers to make purchases at Zayed International Airport using crypto and stablecoins. As a result, the system supports faster, secure, and contactless transactions.

The pilot will operate under a partnership with Al Hail Holding and Xare, offering a tech-forward solution for cashless payments.
