Sabrina Carpenter is still heavily promoting her latest album Man’s Best Friend, which arrived in late summer and gave the singer-songwriter another major global win. This week, she scores a surprise new hit in the United Kingdom with “House Tour.” The track isn’t being properly pushed as a single — at least not yet – but it earns its debut thanks to a chart technicality that once worked against the superstar, but now plays in her favor.

Sabrina Carpenter’s “House Tour” Becomes Her New Hit

“House Tour” launches at No. 17 on the Official Singles chart, which ranks the most consumed songs in the U.K. based on both sales and streaming activity. Almost coincidentally, it becomes Carpenter’s sixteenth appearance on the highly competitive tally.

How “House Tour” Finally Became a Chart Win

The Official Charts Company, which compiles and publishes the nation’s weekly rankings, enforces a rule limiting each act to three concurrent entries on the Official Singles chart as a lead artist. This restriction sometimes blocks popular songs from appearing — or temporarily removes them — to make space for other tracks performing slightly better at the same time.

As one of Carpenter’s earlier hits falls off the ranking, “House Tour” steps in, adding to her already impressive winning streak in the U.K.

Sabrina Carpenter Trades One Hit for Another

Last week, Carpenter appeared in three consecutive spaces on the Official Singles chart, with “Tears,” “Manchild,” and “When Did You Get Hot” landing at Nos. 9, 10, and 11, respectively. “Manchild” disappears from the main songs tally this time around, opening the door for “House Tour” to enter.

Sabrina Carpenter’s “House Tour” Remains a Top 40 Streaming Win

In addition to its debut on the Official Singles chart, “House Tour” also appears on the Official Streaming ranking. The tune slips more than 10 spaces this frame, landing at No. 39 five weeks into its run. The cut previously peaked at No. 11 on the ranking.

Sabrina Carpenter Balances Multiple Hits

This week, Carpenter fills all three spaces permitted to her on the Official Singles chart as a lead act. “Tears,” the latest single from Man’s Best Friend, slides from No. 9 to No. 10 after previously climbing as high as No. 3. “When Did You Get Hot” holds at No. 11, after having once peaked at No. 9.

“Please, Please, Please” Returns to the Charts

Another of Carpenter’s most popular songs, “Please, Please, Please,” returns to the Official Physical Singles chart this week, reappearing at No. 80. The former chart-topper has now spent exactly one year — 52 weeks — as one of the top-selling tunes on any physical format in the country.

10 different Carpenter tracks appear on at least one U.K. list at the moment. Almost all of her songs are falling from where they sat last week, but the fact that they come from three different albums speaks to her continued popularity and her massive fanbase across the Atlantic.

Tunes taken from Emails I Can’t Send, Short n’ Sweet, and, of course, Man’s Best Friend all take up space on streaming and sales-focused rosters, but at the moment, the main singles list is occupied by her newest tunes, which are still hugely successful in the U.K.

Man’s Best Friend and Short n’ Sweet Remain Top Performers

Man’s Best Friend continues to perform exceptionally well, more than a month into its U.K. chart run. The set holds in the runner-up spot on the Official Albums roster and sits just beneath the top 10 on several purchase-focused tallies. Man’s Best Friend manages to hold on inside the top 40 on all six charts where it makes a home.

Carpenter’s previous album, Short n’ Sweet, which turned her into a household name all around the world, is also still commercially successful. This week, the title appears on five charts, and it continues to take up space inside the top 40 on all of them.
