Musk slams famous actor in 'woke' movie meltdown — but apparently targets wrong person

Elon Musk, owner of X, continued a long-running jihad over Christopher Nolan's new movie "The Odyssey," which has right-wingers fuming that it doesn't have an all-white cast.

The problem is, he apparently aimed his latest attack at the wrong person.

Musk chimed in after COVID skeptic Kevin Bass snarled at an early Guardian review of the movie that called it, "An absolute triumph” — a review that was shared online by Tom Holland -- a British historian.

Writing on X, Bass sneered at the film, which had its premiere in the UK, writing, “This might be the worst movie ever made.”

Musk, seeing the Holland name on the Bass/Guardian link, apparently assumed it was the famous actor Tom Holland who stars in the film with his wife Zendaya. The movie has drawn the ire of right-wingers because the role of Helen of Troy is played by Oscar-winning Black actress Lupita Nyong'o.

That led the South Africa-born Musk to chime in with, “Tom Holland is such a cuck.”

Historian Holland gracefully returned fire, responding directly to Musk with, “Very happy to say it again. The Odyssey is an amazing film, and missing out on seeing it because you think it’s woke or whatever is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Your loss.”

He then added, ”My last comment on this whole business (which I hadn’t realized was a lightning rod for an entire culture war) - if you like Nolan’s other films, you will love The Odyssey. If you didn’t like them, then miss it.”

According to Variety, pre-sales of the upcoming Nolan film, which follows his Oscar-winning “Oppenheimer,” set records during the first 24 hours they became available.
