Pi Network has introduced an updated participation flow for its Launchpad platform following feedback gathered from its first Testnet token experiment. The latest changes aim to simplify the user experience while improving fairness in token distribution across the ecosystem.

At the center of the update is SLICE, a new Testnet token connected to the Slice of Pi application. The token is now available for testing and will remain active until Pi2Day on June 28, 2026. Through the initiative, Pi Network hopes to gather additional community feedback while refining token launch mechanics before future ecosystem developments.

The update arrives after the platform’s first Launchpad test attracted more than 478,000 participants, highlighting strong community interest in Pi Network’s expanding ecosystem.

Launchpad Participation Process Becomes Simpler

According to Pi Network, the revised Launchpad structure focuses primarily on commitment amounts using Test-Pi, making participation easier and more transparent for users. The previous testing phase generated valuable feedback, prompting developers to streamline the process and reduce unnecessary complexity.

Under the updated model, participants select the amount of Test-Pi they wish to commit toward acquiring Testnet tokens. The system then calculates additional requirements automatically, creating a more straightforward participation experience.

As a result, Pi Network aims to improve accessibility for users while maintaining fair distribution mechanisms across the testing environment.

SLICE Token Testing Continues Until Pi2Day

The newly launched SLICE token serves as the second major token experiment within the Pi Launchpad ecosystem. Unlike mainnet assets, SLICE exists exclusively on the Testnet and carries no real-world monetary value.

Instead, the project is designed to help developers evaluate token launch mechanics, user engagement systems, and ecosystem interactions before broader implementation. Participants can interact with the Slice of Pi application and provide feedback that may help shape future Launchpad improvements.

By conducting these tests in a controlled environment, Pi Network seeks to identify potential issues and optimize user experiences before introducing similar features on a larger scale.

Fair Access Mechanism Aims to Improve Distribution

One of the key features of the updated Launchpad system is the fair access mechanism, which is intended to encourage broader participation and prevent excessive concentration among larger participants.

The model introduces an additional holding requirement that scales alongside commitment amounts. Supporters of the approach believe it can help create a more balanced distribution process while reducing the influence of participants attempting to dominate token allocations.

Consequently, smaller participants may gain greater opportunities to engage with ecosystem testing activities, contributing to a more inclusive testing environment overall.

Pi Network Continues Building Utility Across Its Ecosystem

The Launchpad updates represent another step in Pi Network’s broader effort to expand utility within its ecosystem. Since entering its Open Mainnet phase, the project has continued rolling out new features, protocol upgrades, and application testing initiatives designed to support long-term ecosystem growth.

Recent developments have included smart contract functionality, ecosystem application expansion, and ongoing infrastructure improvements aimed at increasing network capabilities. The Launchpad initiative plays an important role in this strategy by allowing developers and community members to experiment with new token models before potential future deployment.

Supporters view these testing phases as essential for creating a stronger and more sustainable ecosystem over time.

Mainnet Development Continues Alongside Testnet Experiments

While the SLICE token remains a Testnet-only asset, Pi Network’s main blockchain continues operating under its Open Mainnet framework. The network has gradually expanded functionality through protocol upgrades and ecosystem development initiatives while encouraging user migration and participation.

At the same time, Testnet programs such as Launchpad provide valuable opportunities to test new ideas without affecting mainnet operations. This approach allows developers to gather real-world feedback while minimizing risk to the broader ecosystem.

As Pi2Day approaches, community members are expected to closely monitor participation levels and feedback surrounding the SLICE token experiment. The results could help shape future Launchpad iterations and influence how Pi Network approaches token launches and ecosystem development moving forward.
