Blockchain technology has slowly found its way into almost any industry you can think of. From healthcare, finance, real estate and even in the government and public sector. Now, blockchain technology is making waves in the world of online gaming and gambling.

Blockchain technology is slowly transforming the world of online gambling from simple betting websites into highly transparent, automated and secure websites. Whether it’s accepting cryptocurrencies as payment options or creating provably fair systems and creating a decentralized gaming ecosystem.

Many sites like Jackpot City South Africa use blockchain technology to completely change the way that they operate. It helps them move away from the traditional black box system and into decentralized ledgers. This helps provide users with a verifiably fair system that traditional online sites can’t match.

What Is Blockchain Technology?

Blockchain technology is a decentralized, tamper-proof online ledger that records transactions across a network of computers. It helps to ensure the integrity and security of your data without the need for a central authority by linking chronological and encrypted blocks of data, hence the name blockchain. Each transaction is recorded and verified through cryptography, and once added, it’s impossible to alter or delete. This is what makes blockchains inherently transparent, secure and immutable, and why many online casinos like Jackpot City South Africa are slowly introducing it into their operating systems.

The Benefits of Provably Fair Gaming

One of the most transformative uses of blockchain technology in online gambling is the implementation of a provably fair system. This system replaces the blind trust that’s normally required in a traditional site with mathematical proof.

Many traditional online casinos face criticism over fairness, with many users questioning the legitimacy of results and whether or not the odds are truly in their favor. Blockchain technology removes these doubts by allowing you to verify the results of every card draw, roll or spin, creating a sense of trust and transparency that traditional casinos won’t give you.

Once a bet has been placed, it’s permanently recorded on the blockchain and can neither be altered nor removed. This also prevents retroactive cheating. Since the results of your actions are determined by a combination of the “server seed,” which comes from the casino, and the “player seed,” which comes from you, the casino can’t tamper with the results because they can’t possibly predict your actions ahead of time.

Smart Contract Automation

Smart contracts are auto-executing programs that allow online casinos to automate some of their core functions. This technology allows your winnings to be automatically transferred into your wallet the moment you meet the conditions for a win, which completely eliminates the need for you to approve a payout and also removes any delays caused by pending withdrawals.

Jackpot funds and bets are held in an escrow on the chain. This means that a casino can’t refuse to pay you out because the funds are controlled by a code, and not a person. Things like loyalty rewards, welcome bonuses and cashbacks are triggered instantly by a code once the conditions have been met and immediately awarded to you or paid to your balance. This helps to ensure that the rules are followed exactly as they’re advertised.

Enhanced Financial Efficiency

Blockchain technology has helped to create a highly efficient payment system that traditional banks cannot match. Using blockchain technology, online sites like Jackpot City South Africa are now able to bypass the barriers created by traditional banking methods thus far.

Transactions made on blockchain-enabled networks are much faster, and sometimes even instant. This is a far cry from the 3-5 business days you’d normally have to wait to receive your funds from a bank. These transactions also typically incur fees that are significantly lower than those associated with credit cards or wire transfers.

Many of the blockchain casinos that operate using cryptocurrencies allow you to deposit and withdraw funds directly from your crypto wallet. You can also place bets using only your wallet address, which helps to protect your personal sensitive information from any potential breaches on the centralized servers.

Reducing Fraud

Blockchain technology has become one of the core methods of fraud reduction for online casinos. With the rapidly increasing revenue generated by online gambling and gaming, having advanced safety tech like blockchain technology in place has become all the more crucial for these sites.

Many online casinos use blockchain analytical tools to trace the origin of funds and detect any possible connections they may have to fraudulent online activity or suspicious darknet markets. This proves a much better transparency than traditional underground banking. The removal of third-party intermediaries also means a reduced risk of charge-back fraud and payment scams that often plague traditional casinos.

Blockchain Is Increasing Online Security

Blockchain technology has become about so much more than just cryptocurrencies and trading. Now, it’s the underlying powerhouse behind so many of your current online security measures that help keep your sensitive information safe. It’s also creating a more trustworthy and transparent system for online casinos that helps ensure your games are fair and that the sites are making good on their promised rewards and bonuses.

As the popularity of online casinos continues to rise, you can rest assured that blockchain technology will continue to make the digital world a better place.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

The post IP Hits $11.75, HYPE Climbs to $55, BlockDAG Surpasses Both with $407M Presale Surge! appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto News 17 September 2025 | 18:00 Discover why BlockDAG’s upcoming Awakening Testnet launch makes it the best crypto to buy today as Story (IP) price jumps to $11.75 and Hyperliquid hits new highs. Recent crypto market numbers show strength but also some limits. The Story (IP) price jump has been sharp, fueled by big buybacks and speculation, yet critics point out that revenue still lags far behind its valuation. The Hyperliquid (HYPE) price looks solid around the mid-$50s after a new all-time high, but questions remain about sustainability once the hype around USDH proposals cools down. So the obvious question is: why chase coins that are either stretched thin or at risk of retracing when you could back a network that’s already proving itself on the ground? That’s where BlockDAG comes in. While other chains are stuck dealing with validator congestion or outages, BlockDAG’s upcoming Awakening Testnet will be stress-testing its EVM-compatible smart chain with real miners before listing. For anyone looking for the best crypto coin to buy, the choice between waiting on fixes or joining live progress feels like an easy one. BlockDAG: Smart Chain Running Before Launch Ethereum continues to wrestle with gas congestion, and Solana is still known for network freezes, yet BlockDAG is already showing a different picture. Its upcoming Awakening Testnet, set to launch on September 25, isn’t just a demo; it’s a live rollout where the chain’s base protocols are being stress-tested with miners connected globally. EVM compatibility is active, account abstraction is built in, and tools like updated vesting contracts and Stratum integration are already functional. Instead of waiting for fixes like other networks, BlockDAG is proving its infrastructure in real time. What makes this even more important is that the technology is operational before the coin even hits exchanges. That…
