American Bitcoin Reserves Show Strong Treasury Growth Strategy

American Bitcoin, a Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining and treasury company, has increased its Bitcoin holdings to 5,843 BTC, now worth about $520 million. The company is backed by members of the Trump family, including Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. The move comes as Bitcoin continues to benefit from strong post-halving momentum.

$36 Million Bitcoin Purchase Boosts Reserves

According to recent news, American Bitcoin added $36 million worth of BTC, pushing its total reserves to their highest level so far. The holdings were valued as of January 28, 2026, based on current market prices.

This growth shows the company’s confidence in Bitcoin as a long-term asset. Instead of selling mined coins, American Bitcoin has chosen to hold and grow its treasury. As a result, the firm now ranks among companies with significant Bitcoin exposure in public markets.

116% Bitcoin Yield Since Nasdaq Debut

American Bitcoin reports a Bitcoin yield of roughly 116% since its Nasdaq debut in September 2025. This gain shows Bitcoin’s price rise from around $60,000 to $89,000 per coin during that period.

The performance has outpaced many traditional assets, especially in a market shaped by inflation concerns and shifting interest rate expectations. Company executives credit this growth to disciplined treasury management and favorable market conditions following Bitcoin’s most recent halving.

Riding the Post-Halving Momentum

Bitcoin’s halving reduced the supply of new coins entering the market. In the past, such events have supported price growth over time.

American Bitcoin’s strategy aligns with this trend. By increasing its reserves instead of trimming exposure, the firm aims to benefit from long-term appreciation rather than short-term gains.

At the same time, rising institutional interest has helped support Bitcoin’s price. Public companies, funds and ETFs now play a bigger role in the market than in previous cycles.

Next Steps for Bitcoin Treasury Growth

American Bitcoin’s rapid reserve growth highlights a broader trend. More public companies now see Bitcoin as a strategic asset and not just a speculative bet.

As market conditions evolve, investors will watch closely to see whether the firm continues to expand its holdings, or adjusts its strategy in response to volatility.

Chiefs Keep Elijah Mitchell, Waive Carson Steele At Running Back

(Photo by Bruce Yeung/Getty Images) Getty Images Elijah Mitchell is in, and Carson Steele is out. Those are the final results, following Tuesday’s mandated cut down to 53 players. “Everybody can’t make the team,” Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said. “It’s a tough day. That’s not part of the job you like, but inevitably you got to almost cut half a team. So, that’s not an easy thing.” Running back was one of the most competitive positions for the Chiefs, and on the outside looking in was Steele, the second-year running back/fullback. An undrafted free agent rookie last year, he made the 2024 team, following an impressive preseason. After Isiah Pacheco broke his leg in Week Two, Steele even started three games in 2024, including in Week Three against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football when he ran 17 times for 72 yards. Steele didn’t help his chances by failing to convert a 4th and 1 in Week Two of the preseason. Though Elijah Mitchell was taken down for a safety in the same Seahawks game, he scored a touchdown last week vs. the Chicago Bears. Last year’s third-down back, Samaje Perine was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals — for the third time in his career — to a two-year, $3.6 million contract, but further hurting Steele’s chances was the fact that the Chiefs drafted rookie Brashard Smith, a converted receiver who set SMU’s single-season program record for all-purpose yards with 1,977, and signed Mitchell to a one-year, $2.5 million contract as a free agent. Chiefs general manager Brett Veach compared Mitchell, who gained 963 rushing…
