Realme’s latest flagship series pushes battery life and street photography further, with the realme gt8 pro positioned as the most ambitious model in the lineup.

Flagship hardware with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The Realme GT8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, the company’s latest high-end platform. The octa-core CPU reaches a maximum clock speed of 4.6 GHz, targeting users who demand top-tier performance for gaming, productivity and multimedia.

Memory and storage configurations include 12 GB RAM with 256 GB of internal storage or 16 GB RAM with 512 GB of space. Moreover, this combination aims to ensure fluid multitasking and enough capacity for high-resolution photos and 4K or higher video recording.

7,000 mAh battery and fast charging up to 120 W

Power comes from a large 7,000 mAh battery paired with fast charging up to 120 W. According to Realme, this setup delivers multiple days of use on a single charge, depending on usage patterns and network conditions.

However, beyond raw capacity, the device is designed to balance endurance with charging speed, positioning it among the more enduring large-battery Android flagships currently on the market.

Large AMOLED display and audio system

On the front, the Realme GT8 Pro adopts a 6.79″ AMOLED display with a maximum 144 Hz refresh rate, a 2K resolution and a peak brightness of 7,000 nits. This specification targets smooth scrolling, responsive gaming and strong outdoor visibility.

Moreover, the screen is complemented by a dual stereo speaker system, which aims to enhance immersion for streaming, games and video calls. The combination of high refresh rate, high brightness and stereo audio positions the device competitively in the premium display segment.

Design, flat back and modular camera cover

The rear panel of the Realme GT8 Pro is completely flat, interrupted only by a distinctive camera block. The camera bump cover is removable, allowing users to customize the look by installing covers of different shapes and colors.

For example, owners can switch from a circular to a square cover to match cases or personal style. That said, this modular approach focuses on aesthetics rather than changing the lens hardware itself, which remains fixed.

RICOH GR imaging system for street photography

For imaging, Realme has collaborated with Ricoh to integrate the new “RICOH GR” imaging system aimed at recreating the experience of the brand’s iconic GR street cameras on a smartphone. Co-designed by both companies, the platform covers optics and image processing.

However, the objective is not only sharpness, but also a particular rendering associated with street photography. The software introduces a dedicated GR mode with five film-inspired presets: “standard,” “positive film,” “negative film,” “monotone” and “high-contrast B&W.” The caption “Shot in GR mode – High-contrast B&W” underlines this creative orientation.

Triple camera with GR-certified main sensor and periscope zoom

On the hardware side, the Realme GT8 Pro mounts a “GR-certified” 50 MP main camera using 7P anti-reflective lenses, which are claimed to transmit 97% of incoming light. This design aims to improve clarity and reduce flare in challenging scenes.

Alongside the primary camera, there is a 50 MP ultra-wide unit dedicated to wider field-of-view shots, and a 200 MP sensor paired with a periscope lens delivering 3x optical zoom. Moreover, sample material such as “Shot taken with Realme GT8 Pro – standard mode (original at 50 MP)” highlights the emphasis on detail and versatility.

Pricing, variants and Aston Martin Dream Edition

The Realme GT8 Pro will be available with a list price of €999.99 for the 12+256 GB version, while the 16+512 GB configuration is set at €1,199.99. These prices place the device firmly in the premium segment of the Android market.

Furthermore, Realme is preparing a “Dream Edition” by Aston Martin, offered in the 16+512 GB configuration at the same price as the standard model. For launch, an Amazon.it promotion lists the base variant at €899.99 with the charger included in the bundle, signaling an aggressive early offer.

Positioning in the flagship smartphone market

With its mix of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power, 7,000 mAh battery, 6.79″ AMOLED 144 Hz display and the RICOH GR-branded camera system, the realme gt8 pro targets users who prioritize endurance and creative photography in a single device.

Overall, the combination of a customizable rear design, high-end imaging hardware and premium pricing suggests Realme is aiming to compete directly with established flagship lines from major Android manufacturers.

Disney Pockets $2.2 Billion For Filming Outside America

The post Disney Pockets $2.2 Billion For Filming Outside America appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Disney has made $2.2 billion from filming productions like ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in the U.K. ©Marvel Studios 2018 Disney has been handed $2.2 billion by the government of the United Kingdom over the past 15 years in return for filming movies and streaming shows in the country according to analysis of more than 400 company filings Disney is believed to be the biggest single beneficiary of the Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit (AVEC) in the U.K. which gives studios a cash reimbursement of up to 25.5% of the money they spend there. The generous fiscal incentives have attracted all of the major Hollywood studios to the U.K. and the country has reeled in the returns from it. Data from the British Film Institute (BFI) shows that foreign studios contributed around 87% of the $2.2 billion (£1.6 billion) spent on making films in the U.K. last year. It is a 7.6% increase on the sum spent in 2019 and is in stark contrast to the picture in the United States. According to permit issuing office FilmLA, the number of on-location shooting days in Los Angeles fell 35.7% from 2019 to 2024 making it the second-least productive year since 1995 aside from 2020 when it was the height of the pandemic. The outlook hasn’t improved since then with FilmLA’s latest data showing that between April and June this year there was a 6.2% drop in shooting days on the same period a year ago. It followed a 22.4% decline in the first quarter with FilmLA noting that “each drop reflected the impact of global production cutbacks and California’s ongoing loss of work to rival territories.” The one-two punch of the pandemic followed by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes put Hollywood on the ropes just as the U.K. began drafting a plan to improve its fiscal incentives…
