Google Authenticator Code Errors

If you encounter an error while entering the Google Authenticator code, we recommend you to refer to the following methods:
  • Please make sure you have installed the correct Google Authenticator, iOS-Authenticator, or Android-Authenticator.
  • If your Google Authenticator is linked to multiple accounts, please ensure that the code you enter corresponds to the email address of your MEXC account.
  • Each verification code is valid for 30 seconds. Please make sure you enter and submit it within 30 seconds.
  • Please ensure that the time on your mobile phone is synchronized with the standard time of the time zone where you are located.

I. How to set standard time on iOS:
1. Ensure that your mobile phone is connected to the internet.
2. [Settings] - [General] - [Date & Time] - [Confirm Time Zone] - [Enable Automatic Setting]


II. How to set standard time on Android:
1. Open Google Authenticator and click on the menu icon on the top right corner.


2. Click on [Settings] to enter the settings page.


3. Click on [Time correction for codes].


4. Click on [Sync now] and wait for a moment until the process is completed.


Note:
1. For linking Google Authenticator, please refer to: How To Set Up Google Authenticator
2. If all four situations mentioned above are inapplicable and the Google Authenticator code remains invalid, you can use the saved key to relink it on the Google server.
3. If the original device with Google Authenticator is lost, please unlink the Google Authenticator first.

III. How to self-apply to unlink Google Authenticator:
If you are unable to change or unlink the security verification methods (email address / mobile number / Google Authenticator), please follow the steps below to apply to unlink the current Google Authenticator (if you wish to make changes, please complete the unlinking process before linking new security verification methods).

How to unlink Google Authenticator on the website:
Login to www.mexc.com - user icon on the top right corner - [Security] - [MEXC/Google Authenticator].
  • Click [Remove] to enter unlinking settings

  • Proceed with unlinking by following the instructions on the page. Once completed, your Google Authenticator will be unlinked.



How to unlink Google Authenticator on the app:
[Log In] - user icon on the top left corner - [Security] - [Google Authenticator], [Mobile Verification], or [Email Verification] - select [Reset Google Authenticator].



Please follow the steps on the screen to complete the application (it normally takes about 1 working day).

  • Reminder: If you forget your login password, you can send an email using your registered email address to service@mexc.com for unlinking. We will process the unlinking request within 1 business day. Please find the email template below:

3. A photo of user holding his/her ID and a piece of paper with written information (reason, "MEXC", date, and signature)
4. Description of recent trades: (e.g., I purchased xx cryptos on mmm, dd)
5. Description of recent holdings: (e.g., I hold xx cryptos, and...)
6. Description of recent deposits and withdrawals: (e.g., I deposited xx cryptos on mm, dd)
7. Frequent login location: (e.g., Country, Province, City)
8. Approximate sign-up date: (e.g., yyyy, mm, dd)
Note: Please provide a screenshot of a transfer to MEXC (can be obtained from withdrawal history on other platforms or wallets).
