Volaris informó este jueves que la solicitud temporal que hizo de arrendamiento húmedo, de hasta siete aviones, por un periodo limitado de hasta 43 días, fue para garantizar los viajes ya programados por sus clientes durante la temporada alta de fin de año.

Dicho esquema "sumado al arribo durante los siguientes días de tres nuevas aeronaves Airbus, permitirá proteger a aquellos pasajeros que vuelan para reunirse con sus seres queridos durante las festividades decembrinas".

En un comunicado, la aerolínea de bajo costo defendió la medida que fue validada por la Agencia Federal de Aviación Civil (AFAC) y que ha causado inconformidad entre el gremio de pilotos en México porque se consideraba que las tripulaciones son extranjeras.

"Volaris tomó esta decisión ante el incremento en el número de revisiones a los motores NEO del fabricante Pratt C Whitney (PCW), programadas para diciembre de 2025 y enero de 2026, superior a lo originalmente previsto y que reduciría la disponibilidad de aeronaves durante esta temporada", se explicó.

Dichas revisiones han ocasionado que los aviones estén en tierra por más de siete meses.

Debido a que la misma situación la ha experimentado Viva, también acudió a un modelo similar de arrendamiento de aviones también de Malta.

En relación a la parte laboral, la aerolínea precisó que reafirma su compromiso con sus embajadores y con el Sindicato de Trabajadores de la Industria Aeronáutica (STIA), con quien ha acordado que:

  • No habrá afectaciones en la plantilla laboral.
  • En consecuencia: ningún colaborador verá reducidas sus jornadas, ni sus horas de vuelo e ingresos.
  • Además, precisó que todos los vuelos contarán con miembros de la tripulación Volaris.

"Cabe destacar que este procedimiento, que ha sido utilizado recientemente por otros operadores nacionales, está sustentado en los artículos 83 Bis del Convenio sobre Aviación Civil Internacional; artículo 45, último párrafo de la Ley de Aviación Civil; artículo 4 del Reglamento de la Ley de Aviación Civil, y la Circular Obligatoria CO AV-08.3/20", detalló Volaris en un comunicado.
