MAGA millionaire and political candidate Don Huffines was taunted Tuesday after the New Mexico Legislature voted unanimously to establish an investigatory subcommittee into Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch, an infamous property recently revealed to have been purchased by Huffines in 2023.
“Sleep tight Don Huffines!” wrote prominent tech reviewer Zack Nelson, celebrating the probe into Epstein’s former property in a social media post on X. “Now would be a good time to start helping the investigation. Trump can't pardon state crimes.”
Huffines, a loyal supporter of President Donald Trump whose son was given a position in the White House, purchased Zorro Ranch in 2023 using a limited liability company created just weeks before the purchase, the Sante Fe New Mexican first reported on Friday.
Spanning across 7,600 acres, the property was reportedly central to a disturbing plan by Epstein to “seed the human race with his DNA,” and is also alleged to have been the burial site of “two foreign girls,” according to an FBI tip recently made public by the Justice Department.
Huffines remained active on social media in the wake of the revelation, but before Monday night had not directly acknowledged it, sparking a wave of backlash from Texas voters and critics alike. Huffines finally released a statement Monday on his purchase of the infamous property.
“What the enemy once meant for evil, God can redeem for good,” Huffines wrote in a social media post on X.
“That’s why we renamed the property San Rafael, after the saint associated with physical and spiritual healing, and began plans immediately to remake it as a Christian retreat, reclaiming it for Jesus. Even the new entrance will reflect that mission and will read, “BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO COME IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.”
Furthermore, he condemned those who criticized his purchase of Epstein’s former property for having engaged in “last-minute lies and dirty tricks,” characterizing the attacks as a ploy to sink his bid for comptroller.
Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) celebrated state lawmakers for having approved the probe into Huffines’ new property, while at the same time flagging Huffines’ connections to the Trump administration.
“What is interesting is Mr. Huffines is running for public office to be the state comptroller, and used an LLC as a shell company to purchase that property through his wife as a trustee,” Stansbury said in a video posted to social media.
“It’s also interesting to note that his son is currently serving as a high-level political appointee in the Trump administration. Now, we don’t know if these ties mean anything, but what we do know is that this property is a property in which multiple survivors have reported abuse… We want to know what happened on this ranch.”
