Monarch: Legacy of Monsters returns soon on Apple TV+, kicking off the next chapter of the Monsterverse more than two years after Season 1. Here’s everything to know about how to watch the sci-fi series, including the release time, streaming details and what to expect from season two.
Legacy of Monsters continues following the events of 2014’s Godzilla and follows the Monarch organization as they encounter other monsters called Titans. Season 1 foused on two siblings as they tried to determine their family’s connection to the secretive organization, ultimately leading them to Army officer Lee Shaw, both in the 1950s and half a century later.
Season 2 picks up the story with both Monarch and the world at stake. “The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea,” according to Apple TV. “The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.”
Kong and Godzilla will be featured in the second season, as well as a new titan, Titan X. The monster “stands at the center of the mystery — an ancient force emerging from the deep, its purpose uncertain, its power unmatched, its awe and terror in equal measure,” the streamer teased.
Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett and Anders Holm are reprising their roles from Season 1. Meanwhile, new guest stars include Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtis Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper and Camilo Jiménez Varón.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 premieres on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. The episode should be available by 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET. However, Apple TV+ sometimes releases new episodes the night before, so keep your eyes peeled starting around 9 p.m. ET on Thursday.
The first episode will be released on Friday, with new episodes dropping weekly.
