FilmMagic,

In a few months, Billie Eilish’s third and most recent album Hit Me Hard and Soft will turn two. The pop and rock superstar recently stopped promoting the set, as its final single, “Wildflower,” was released almost a year ago, in February 2025. That track is currently nominated for both Record and Song of the Year Grammys, which Eilish has won multiple times in the past.

After traveling around the world on Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour throughout 2024 and 2025, Eilish is on a musical break, but she is likely working on new tunes. As fans wait to hear from the generational talent once more, two of Eilish’s earliest smashes become global successes once again.

“Ocean Eyes” and “Lovely” Return to the Global Charts

Two singles by Eilish return to the Billboard Global 200 this week. “Ocean Eyes” and “Lovely,” a collaboration with Khalid, find their way back to the list of the most consumed songs all around the planet and settle at Nos. 171 and 200, respectively.

“Lovely” Has Historically Outpaced “Ocean Eyes”

Between those two cuts, “Lovely” is the bigger winner when looking at their performances specifically on the Billboard Global 200. The duet with Khalid, which ranks lower at the moment, has peaked at No. 70 and has already spent 244 frames somewhere on the 200-spot roster. “Ocean Eyes,” Eilish’s first single, has only ever lifted to No. 100, and as it returns, it celebrates a milestone 30 frames somewhere on the tally.

Billie Eilish Scores Four Hits on Billboard’s Global Chart

Eilish fills four spots on the Billboard Global 200, and two of those songs also appear on its companion chart, the Billboard Global Excl U.S. That second ranking excludes all sales and streams from American consumers, while the Billboard Global 200 takes into account listening from essentially every nation in the world.

As “Ocean Eyes” and “Lovely” return, “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower” climb to Nos. 15 and 54, respectively, on the Billboard Global 200. On the Billboard Global Excl U.S., “Birds of a Feather” flaps its wings and ascends to No. 16, while “Wildflower” lands at No. 54.

“Birds of a Feather” Leads Billie Eilish’s Worldwide Smashes

Both “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower” have lived on the two worldwide tallies for the same length of time. The tracks are up to 86 weeks on the pair of charts. Between the two, “Birds of a Feather” is the bigger winner, as it has previously dominated the lists. “Wildflower” narrowly missed out on cracking the top 10, as it peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Global 200 and one spot lower on the Billboard Global Excl U.S.

“Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower” Continue to Chart in the U.S.

“Ocean Eyes” and “Lovely” only appear on the Billboard Global 200, while “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower” can be found on multiple rankings that are specific to American consumption. “Birds of a Feather” is on the downswing on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Alternative Songs, and Alternative Streaming Songs charts, though it still manages to hold on inside the top 10. “Birds of a Feather” dips just one rung to No. 3 on the first two lists and slips from third place to sixth on the ranking of the most-streamed alternative tracks in America.

“Wildflower,” meanwhile, is a streaming success as well. That currently Grammy-nominated single joins “Birds of a Feather” on the Alternative Streaming Songs chart, as it steps up to No. 14, while simultaneously holding at No. 23 on the Rock Streaming Songs roster.

The ban is part of China’s ongoing effort to reduce dependency on US-made AI hardware, especially after restrictive US export rules. The RTX Pro 6000D was tailored for China to comply with some export rules, but now the regulator says even that chip is off-limits. After the news, Nvidia shares dropped in premarket trading (around 1.5%), reflecting investors’ concerns about reduced demand in one of the biggest markets. This isn’t the first time China has done something like this. For instance, in August, the country urged firms not to use Nvidia’s H20 chip due to potential security issues and the need to comply with international export control regulations. Meanwhile, Alibaba and Baidu have begun using domestically produced AI chips more heavily, which shows that China is seriously investing in building its own chip-making capacity. Additionally, a few days ago, Chinese regulators opened an antitrust review into Nvidia’s Mellanox acquisition, suggesting the company may have broken some of the promises it made to get the 2020 deal passed. From AI to blockchain and the possible effects of China’s ban The banning of Nvidia chips represents a rather notable escalation in the technological rivalry between the United States and China. Beyond tariffs or export bans, China is now proactively telling its firms to avoid even “compliant” US chips and instead shift…
