How to Unlink Google Authenticator on MEXC
Google Authenticator is one of the two-factor authentication methods provided by MEXC to protect account security. Unless there is a special reason, users are not advised to unlink Google Authenticator.
App
1) Open the MEXC App and log in to your account. Tap the Profile Icon.
2) Tap Security.
3) On the Security page, locate Google Authenticator and tap to enter the settings page.
4) Enter the email verification code or SMS verification code and the Google Authenticator code, then tap Confirm. Google Authenticator will be successfully removed.
Note: If you have linked a passkey, you can quickly remove Google Authenticator through passkey verification.
If your Google Authenticator is lost and you cannot enter the Google Authenticator code during the removal process, tap Reset Security Verification? at the bottom of the authentication page.

5) On the Reset Security Verification page, select Reset Google Authenticator, thentap Reset.
6) Tap Get Code, enter the verification code sent to your linked email, and tap Submit.
7) Enter the login date and country/region, select recently traded pairs, choose your current total assets on MEXC, and tap Next.
8) On the Reset Security Verification page, enter a contactable mobile number, obtain the SMS verification code, upload a photo of yourself holding your identity document, confirm that you have read and understood the notice, and tap Submit.
After submission, MEXC Customer Service will review your request. The review takes 1 business day. Once approved, your original Google Authenticator will be removed.

Return to Security to confirm that Google Authenticator has been removed.

Please note that withdrawals and crypto transfers are restricted for 24 hours after removing Google Authenticator.

Open the MEXC official website and log in to your account. From the profile icon on the homepage, select Security.

On the Security page, click Remove next to MEXC/Google Authenticator Code.

On the MEXC/Google Authenticator Code page, check and review the unlink notice and click Unlink Anyway.

Click Get Code, enter the verification code received via your linked email or mobile number, enter the Google Authenticator code, and click Submit to complete the removal.
Note: If you have linked a passkey, you can quickly remove Google Authenticator through passkey verification.
If your Google Authenticator is lost and you cannot enter the MEXC/Google Authenticator code, click Reset Security Verification?

On the Reset Security Verification page, select Google Authenticator is unavailable. Request a reset, then click Reset.

Click Get Code, enter the verification code sent to your linked email, and click Confirm.
