Speaking to Kate Boulduan, CNN data analyst Harry Enten explained that for the past several weeks, he's considered Trump to be at his "floor" with approval decreases like -13 points or -17 points. However, Trump's new numbers show him down -26 points.
"I got four numbers across for you on this screen. Here they are all second-term lows for the given pollster. What are we talking about? AP New York 26 points below water. NBC 22 points below water. Yahoo!/YouGov 20 points below water. Quinnipiac 19 points below water. So, we're ranging from -19 points all the way to -26 points."
Trump has also been losing significant support from young voters.
"Folks keep asking, you know, where is the floor for Donald Trump. And I'm not sure there is a floor because if there is one, Donald Trump, at least in term number two, has just fallen through it to another low level."
He went on to note that, compared with former President Joe Biden, Trump's numbers had surpassed even his lowest point.
That "is, of course, the comparison that Donald Trump does not want to be, because we all know what happened to Joe Biden."
Enten said that Biden lost Democratic seats in the midterms and "was not reelected to another term at this point." That said, Biden also didn't run for reelection.
Comparing Trump to his first term, Trump has broken through those low numbers as well.
