ReceiptHero has announced a partnership with Peach Payments to introduce digital receipt functionality on the latest generation of Digit Go payment terminals in South Africa.

The collaboration reflects a broader shift in payment hardware toward more compact and environmentally sustainable designs, including devices that no longer rely on integrated receipt printers. Through this integration, merchants using Peach Payments terminals can offer customers instant digital receipts at the point of sale.

Digital Receipt Delivery via QR Code Following a completed transaction, a QR code is displayed on the payment terminal screen. Customers can scan the code using their smartphone to access their receipt directly in a mobile browser. The receipt includes full transaction details and can be saved as a PDF or stored for future reference. The process does not require any application downloads and is designed to be completed within seconds.

Supporting Evolving Payment Infrastructure

Printer-less payment terminals are becoming increasingly common as merchants seek flexible, mobile, and lower-maintenance solutions.

By embedding digital receipt delivery into the payment flow, the partnership enables merchants to provide proof of purchase without additional hardware or consumables. ReceiptHero’s platform connects transaction data from the terminal to a secure, cloud-based receipt page, accessible instantly via the QR code presented at checkout.

Sustainability and Operational Efficiency

The adoption of digital receipts can help reduce paper consumption and associated costs, while offering customers a more convenient way to manage purchase records. Merchants may also benefit from streamlined checkout environments and reduced dependency on printing infrastructure.

Chris Moore, Director of International Business at ReceiptHero, said the partnership reflects increasing demand for digital-first receipt solutions as payment devices continue to evolve. “At ReceiptHero, we are focused on making receipt delivery simple, secure, and accessible without relying on paper.

This partnership with Peach Payments enables merchants to provide a seamless digital receipt experience directly from the payment terminal, aligning with the shift toward more modern and sustainable checkout environments.”

Sandeep Chagger, Chief Operating Officer at Peach Payments, said the integration supports the company’s goal of delivering connected and efficient point-of-sale experiences. “Through our partnership with ReceiptHero, merchants can deliver digital receipts directly from the device, reducing paper usage while keeping checkout simple, efficient, and connected.”
