Vitalik Buterin just reignited this cypherpunk thread with a simple, almost brutal message: Ethereum "going hard." Behind the phrase, there is a very concrete technical choice: FOCIL, for Fork Choice Enforced Inclusion Lists, announced as the flagship on the consensus side of the upcoming Hegota upgrade, expected in the second half of 2026.
