PANews reported on February 12th that Mantle announced the launch of "trustless agents" on its network that support the ERC-8004 standard, providing AI agents with verifiable on-chain identities and a transferable reputation system. This standard includes three core components: identity registration, reputation registration, and task verification. It enables AI agents to operate as independent economic participants in TradeFi, RWA, and on-chain marketplaces, and is compatible with existing protocols such as MCP, A2A, and x402. Mantle stated that developers can build financial agents with verifiable performance, data API payment interfaces, and cross-market services connecting TradeFi and DeFi based on ERC-8004.
