Nearly seven years ago to this day, AT&T and the NBA announced a multi-year partnership deal. Now, that partnership is taking new heights, as AT&T launches its brand new “AT&T Dunk Bus” to bring fans even closer to their favorite league.

What Is The “AT&T Dunk Bus?”

The AT&T Dunk Bus is a mobile activation that will travel to numerous NBA cities. It turns parking lots into a mecca for fans to throw down dunks and face off in games of 2K26 (a popular video game played by millions across the world). There will also be limited-edition merch from local artists available for purchase and NBA legends for fans to interact with.

An image of the bus is featured in the thumbnail of this article. Here is what it looks like from the outside:

The bus will be located outside of arenas across the league, which further adds to the experience of being near an NBA team.

“The AT&T Dunk Bus aims to connect fans with the game. NBA fans are among the most passionate and engaged in sports, and as the Official Connectivity Partner of the NBA, we strive to create more personal connections. By traveling with the Dunk Bus across the country, we can engage with communities and offer fans the opportunity to connect with their favorite teams and players beyond the arena,” Sabina Ahmed, Assistant Vice President of Sponsorships & Experiential at AT&T, told me for an interview with Forbes.

Where Is The “AT&T Dunk Bus” Traveling To?

The AT&T Dunk Bus will make its official debut on Friday, January 30, in Miami, Florida. The Miami Heat don’t play on that day. So, its debut gives fans something fun to look forward to on the team’s day off. The bus will stay stationed in Miami until the following day, when the Heat host the Chicago Bulls – meaning that fans attending that game will also get the chance to experience this unique activation.

From there, the bus will travel to Los Angeles for All-Star weekend (February 13-17), giving Intuit Dome a unique feature in its first time hosting the league’s midseason classic. After that, the bus will spend two days in Dallas, Texas (February 27-March 1), come back to Los Angeles for three days (March 31-April 2), and then three days in Chicago, Illinois (April 8-10). In total, the bus will be open for interaction for four game days (for the Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Chicago Bulls) and the entirety of All-Star weekend. It will also be around (in Oklahoma City) for the 2026 NBA Playoffs. However, the exact dates are to be determined because the standings have yet to confirm who will be playing when and where.

“Having the AT&T Dunk Bus pull up in Dallas, a city that means a lot to me and to AT&T, just adds to what makes this so special. It’s about bringing people together around basketball in a way that really sticks with you,” Cooper Flagg said when asked about AT&T’s Dunk Bus.

“At its core, basketball is about community and connection. The AT&T Dunk Bus is a great way to create meaningful moments for fans in different cities and keep that connection to the game strong,” 2025 MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, explained.

(Photo by Paul Natkin/Getty Images) Getty Images Singer Lou Gramm has a vivid memory of recording the ballad “Waiting for a Girl Like You” at New York City’s Electric Lady Studio for his band Foreigner more than 40 years ago. Gramm was adding his vocals for the track in the control room on the other side of the glass when he noticed a beautiful woman walking through the door. “She sits on the sofa in front of the board,” he says. “She looked at me while I was singing. And every now and then, she had a little smile on her face. I’m not sure what that was, but it was driving me crazy. “And at the end of the song, when I’m singing the ad-libs and stuff like that, she gets up,” he continues. “She gives me a little smile and walks out of the room. And when the song ended, I would look up every now and then to see where Mick [Jones] and Mutt [Lange] were, and they were pushing buttons and turning knobs. They were not aware that she was even in the room. So when the song ended, I said, ‘Guys, who was that woman who walked in? She was beautiful.’ And they looked at each other, and they went, ‘What are you talking about? We didn’t see anything.’ But you know what? I think they put her up to it. Doesn’t that sound more like them?” “Waiting for a Girl Like You” became a massive hit in 1981 for Foreigner off their album 4, which peaked at number one on the Billboard chart for 10 weeks and…
