The words of slain MAGA commentator Charlie Kirk are now coming back to haunt the movement he was such a big part of, according to a conservative pollster.

After the recent killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti by federal immigration agents, one particular quote by Kirk started to spread on social media.

"The 2nd amendment is not for hunting, it is not for self protection," the podcaster wrote in 2018. "It is there to ensure that free people can defend themselves if god forbid government became tyrannical and turned against its citizens."

That quote gained new life over the weekend, with numerous new comments and shares being added since the latest DHS killing.

Libertarian Party of New York replied with, "Feels relevant lately."

Author Ali A. Rizvi wrote, "Good people of Minneapolis, remember Charlie Kirk’s words."

Ex-GOP pollster Mike Madrid added, "Looks like Charlie Kirk is reminding MAGA of the things they’d like to forget."
